Learning About Other Cultures

The Pre-school learned all about Pakistan at school

on Monday 7 November. Amber Raja and Mubasha

Asif’s mother, Jasmine showed the children some

traditional dresses worn in Pakistan. They then did

henna patterning on the children’s hands. Amber

generously provided samoosa’s and sweets for the

children, to round off a fun lesson on the interest-

ing country and its culture.

A special word of thanks to all the parents who helped with transport and provided such great support.

Planning for our Children’s Future On Saturday 5 November a group of SCS Board members, Trustees,

staff and parents attended a day-long strategic planning workshop to

deliberate educating children at SCS for the future. Discussions

revolved around preparing children today for a future that is ex-

tremely hard to predict. A great deal of thought and discussion went

into agreeing that our children need to be equipped with skills, atti-

tudes and attributes that will empower them to tackle any future

scenario. Thanks to all who gave up their time to attend.
