This is Kelly Clarksons Bebo page. Bebo was created before Facebook and therefore a starting point to communicate with fans.

This page tells her audience information about Kelly Clarkson with her newest releases.

The picture used is based on her new album, this is one way how artists promote their new material.

On the left hand column there is some information about how many fans she has on one social networking site alone.

BEBO- Audience Theory

This Myspace. Before Facebook was created this was the number one social networking site along with Bebo.

Again the artist has used her latest album as her profile picture.

Kelly has also put her official website onto this page so fans are able to see this link and navigate away from this page.

The top row has 5 different columns which shows all of Kellys material and the events she attends.

Myspace also allows artists to communicate with their fans. An example of this is when Kelly talks about her new album and where to find it.

Myspace- Audience Theory

This is Kelly Clarksons Facebook page. Facebook is a social networking site which is very popular. The ‘like’ button allows users of

Facebook to like the artists page, and therefore this is equivalent to one fan.

The profile picture used is her current album. Artists use this as their profile picture to promote their album and so more people hear about it.

This shows a post where ‘Kelly has shared a link with her fans. It tells fans what she is up to and updates fans on Kellys day to day life.

This shows which friends of mine on facebook have listened to songs by the artist using ‘Spotify’.

This is another example of Kelly Clarkson interacting with her fans as she is promoting her tour, where fans are able to like it, and comment on this post. Aswell as this fans are also able to share the link to other pages.

This bar allows the fans to view her photos, look at her events Kelly is attending and even her own merchandise.

This is an easier way for fans to be able to relate to Kelly and support her as an artist.

One of the newest ways artists use to interact with their fans is by using social networking site ‘Twitter’.

Artists are able to ‘tweet’ what they are doing and are able to follow fans and fans are able to follow them.

Artists like this concept of allowing to ‘follow’ fans as they like to show that they care about what their fans do for them.

The bar at the top shows information about the artist along with her followers, people who follow Kelly and how many tweets she has posted.
