As part of its Project Velocity IP (VIP), an investment plan focused on network enhance- ment and expansion, AT&T in 2014 made 325 network up- grades in Oklahoma, includ- ing 52 new cell sites, addition of wireless and wired network capacity, and new broadband network connections. “There is a direct connection between economic growth and success in today’s economy and the availability of lead- ing-edge technologies,” said AT&T Oklahoma President Steve Hahn. “AT&T is proud of our continuing technology investments, which help en- hance the quality of life and spur economic opportunities for Oklahoma consumers and businesses. Announcements like this are a tribute to the efforts of our local and state elected officials who work so hard to ensure that public policies encourage compa- nies like AT&T to invest in Oklahoma.” “AT&T’s upgrades show the company’s overall com- mitment to Oklahoma,” said Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. “This kind of investment is important to Oklahomans, who want and need access to high-speed Internet technology. We are delighted to highlight AT&T’s continuing investment in our state.” AT&T provides the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network today, covering more than 300 million Americans with 4G LTE service.** AT&T’s network also has the nation’s strongest LTE signal. AT&T was recently recog- nized by FORTUNE mag- azine as the Most Admired Telecommunications Company in the world in 2015. Lendonwood to welcome local students for prom photosLendonwood Gardens long

has been a popular setting for prom-day photos, but this year the botanical gar-den likely will see a spike in picture-taking on Saturday, April 18. Both Grove and Jay schools are holding their proms on that same evening.

In recognition of the spe-cial day, Lendonwood will be offering a reduced admis-sion fee all day, according to Jim Corbridge, president of the Gardens’ Board of Directors. During Prom Day at Lendonwood, admission for prom students themselves will be free, and all others accom-panying them will be admitted for $2.00 per person, reduced from the Gardens’ regular ad-mission rate of $5.00.

“We are delighted to share in this celebration and rite of passage,” Corbridge said. “Lendonwood’s board has been working with school and police officials to help ensure a safe and happy occasion. There hardly could be a more beautiful backdrop for prom photos, so I understand why the botanical garden is so pop-ular on this special day.”

Mid-April prom photos are especially attractive at Lendonwood because the Gardens are abloom with flowering trees, azaleas, rho-dodendrons and other colorful plants at this time of the year.

Because parking is limited, the Grove Police Department will assist Lendonwood vol-unteers in managing traffic and parking in the area around the Gardens. Parking will be available in front of the bo-

tanical garden, along the west fence, and in a designated area at the back of the garden. Prom-goers are urged to car-pool in order that all can be accommodated.

Corbridge said that vol-unteers will staff Welcome Tables at each entrance, where information will be provided and admission fees collected. In addition, maps highlight-ing prime photographic back-grounds will be provided and volunteers will be available to answer questions.

Proceeds from Prom Day

at Lendonwood will be used to help maintain the botani-cal garden as an asset to the Grand Lake community.

“Lendonwood relies on the support of volunteer labor, memberships, donations and gate receipts,” he said. “We are a privately owned garden that has been made avail-able to the public, attracting visitors from the area and throughout the United States and the world.”

The garden is open to the public year-round, from dawn to dusk.
