Jazz Edifice studio aims to find the Architectural standard and impovise on it, just like in Jazz music. Located in the La-Mina bureau of Barcelona, my project aims to break the stiff and rigid grid of the place, and by creating new paths and ways, creating new performing spaces and new urban public spaces.

Forming a public structure within East Jerusalem is a political statment, just as meaningful as the architectural statment. Believing that a new public space will lead to forming a political identity for the citizens of Jabel Mukaber, I decided to design a cultural center in the heart of it. Culture is political mean, and architecture has the tools and potential of doing so.

This Seminar examines sustainability in a critical way, trying to design a house in the most creative and sustainable way. As a foreign student, I decided not to build a new house, but rather to deal with exisiting houses in LA, the LA mansion on one side, and the LA bungalow on the other side. Being critical of American life style and way of living led to the reuse of the buildings and the examination of the real needs of dwelings.

Done in L.A, during the student exchange program, I couldn't ignore its different scale, the lack of urban spaces and places for people to walk and enjoy urban life. I chose Lincoln Blvd, and created a city refuge place. A public buliding, in a human scale, designed for people to walk in and forget the noise and chaos of LA.

It showcases the preparation for a disaster, and how it can motivate urban renewal, andUrban growth is less desired places.It challenges the definition of crisis and routine, safe and open, private and common.
