MATERIAL LOAD: ¾ Impact rails: absorb the force of material loading and protect the roller bearings ¾ The plates flex under the loading shock, discharging the force on the frame through the
impact rails, thus protecting the roller bearing ¾ Once the material is loaded, the plates are stiff enough to flex back and proceed supported
by the rollers without contact with the impact rails
PLATES: ¾ Thick steel sections forces the material to follow
the plates even during the hardest extractions under a full hopper
¾ The anti-spillage lip is in special armoured steel and ensures continuous contact between two adjacent plates, minimising material spillage
WHEELS AND CHAINS: ¾ Drive wheels are made in high alloy steels with
replaceable toothed segments ¾ The parts in contact with the chain are
induction-hardened to extend their operating life ¾ The chains with pins and fixed bushes are in high
alloy steel, induction-hardened on the wear surfaces. Pins and bushes are tempered to ensure a very long wear life

Gambarotta Gschwendt designs, produces and supplies the transport equipment for all phases of the cement production process, providing integrated solutions for new projects and for upgrades of existing plants and offering the latest technology for reliable cement production.
A complete range of strong apron feeders is available for the heavy duty extraction of material from hoppers under waggon tipper or truck unloader.

Gambarotta Gschwendt machines are designed for robustness and effectiveness of processes: they can reach over 3600 millimiters in width; the pans are built in thick steel profiles, reinforced with beams, with a shock absorbing systems that protects the bearings of the rollers from the impact shocks.
Gambarotta Gschwendt apron feeders can extract highly abrasive materials with grain sizes up to 1500 millimiters. They can be fully dismountable to be retrofitted into your existing bunkers.

The machine is sized to withstand the heaviest impacts. The grain size of the material can reach up to 2000mm.
A layer height can be set to control the capacity. The feeding capacity is adjusted by using a frequency converter that accelerates or slows down the machine. The material is guided by a reinforced guard over the entire length of the hopper. The guard has a wear resistant lining, normally in Hardox steel, 12mm thick, that can easily be replaced when worn out, making the machine suitable for extracting abrasive material.

To protect the rollers’ bearings from the impact of the falling material, impact rails are installed under the plates.
The plates are equipped with support rollers, which mount a double ball bearing, avoiding any sliding and thus making the machine energy efficient.

The plates are designed to be stiff enough to flex back when the energy associated with the material’s loading has been dissipated, supported just by the rollers. This minimizes the energy consumption and the noise of the machine estending at the same time the life of its components.
The plates are designed to elastically flex when the material is discharged into the hopper, touching – through special slides installed under the plates – the impact rails. Most of the energy associated with the material impact is discharged on the frame through the impact rails, thus protecting the bearings in the rollers, that are subject to a small force.

Depending on the grain size of the material and the width of the plates, the latter are reinforced on the bottom. On the upper side of the plates a thick steel section force the material to follow the plates, even during the hardest extractions under hopper.A lip in armored steel ensures continuous contact between two adjacent plates, minimizing the material spillage.

Drive wheels are made in high alloy steel with replaceable toothed segments, The parts in contact with the chain are induction-hardened to extend their operating life.
The drive wheels are installed on stand alone supports, ensuring an excellent quality and a long life. The idle end mounts the tension system, either hydraulic or mechanical, and is installed on flanged supports, covered by airtight external guards that optimize the efficiency of the dedusting system.
