•A means of energizing remote equipment from a centralized location over outside plant

(OSP) over telecom twisted copper cable

•Also known as remote power, network power, centralized power, span power

DC-DC Converters are used to convert from a standard 48V system to a high DC voltage,

transmitted over multiple copper power pairs, and re-converted back to 48VDC at the load
