Hello, my name is Dario. I’m eleven years old. I live in El

Hierro. I have no brothers or sisters. We like going to the

beach and going to the forest. We also like going on

holiday together.

We have got a pet. It s a dog. His name is Lenin.

My favourite food is pizza.

I study in 6th grade, and this is my book of English

My favourite subjects are PE and music.

I like playing computer games.

After school I practice football with my friends.

The name of my school is CEIP Valverde.

I like the school because is very funny.

My school is in Valverde, which is the capital of the

island.

It is a school where there are approximately three hundred

medium children.

It has two fields, one for smaller and one for larger.

We have a computer room "Aula Medusa", a music

room with many instruments, a gym with sports

equipment and an auditorium which hosts plays,

lectures, etc. We own a library with many books that

we can take to house.

From 5th grade, we have a single laptop. In every

classroom there is a whiteboard.

El Hierro is an island in the Canary Islands. El Hierro is

the smallest island.

A year ago we experienced a submarine eruption so that we

learn a lot about it.

We celebrate the most important festival of the island “La Bajada de La Virgen de Los Reyes” every four years.

El Hierro is a peaceful island.

The landscapes of El Hierro are very nice. Mix the

volcanic landscape with green laurel and pine forests and

many orchards scattered throughout the island.

The main vegetation of the island are the laurel and pine

forest.

The Giant Lizard of El Hierro is an endangered species

unique in the world.

The meals are typical of El Hierro: quesadillas ( a dessert

made of cheese), wine and cheese are a must on the table.
