Well done to Years 3‐6 who had a fan‐tastic day on Friday at their sports day in Peak Hill. Thanks to Mrs Blatch, Mrs Klein, Mrs Nicki Tremain and Mrs Amanda Cameron who went to Peak Hill and assisted with the teams. Congratulations to Years 8‐12 who also went to Peak Hill on Friday to watch the Bell Shakespeare production with Mrs Tremain and Mrs Johnson. SPORTS REPORT: On Wednesday 20 March the boys and girls soccer teams travelled to Gulgong for the first round of the Western Area Knockout. The girls played the first game and played ex‐tremely well. The Gulgong girls had a little more experience and won 1 – 0. The positive for the team was that our younger players went very well and were led by Maddie Harvey, Josie Lees,
Symone Hudson, Shanai Butler and Alison Brown. The player’s player was awarded to Danika Phillips who had a fantastic game. The boys played in the second game and got off to a slow start conceding an early goal but fought back well and had the chance to tie up the game, unfortunately we lost 3 – 2. The boys played ex‐tremely well and fought hard all day. Goal scorers were Jordon Harvey and Josh Berney, Josh was also named player’s player. Special thanks to Mr McLaurin for coaching the sides during lunchtime and providing valuable in‐sights into how the game is played. Mr McLaurin will be going away in Term 2 with the Western Area Girls Soccer team.
