What you will need● You will need your RML library card number and PIN. Your RML
librarycardmustbeingoodstandingwithnofines.Ifyoudon’thave a PIN, go to www.rmlib.org, thelibrary’shomepage,andclick RML Account Login under Quick Links to set up your identificationnumber.IfyouhaveforgottenyourPIN,youcancallthelibrary’scirculationdeskandastaffmembercandeleteyourcurrentPIN.Followthedirectionsonthelibrary’swebsiteto set up a new PIN.
● You will need to log into your Amazon account when prompted.
● Kindle Fire users should log onto a Wi-Fi network.
● OtherKindleswith3G(firstgenerationorDXmodels)mustbeattached to a computer via a cable.
Signing In● On your Kindle or a computer, open a browser.
● Visit the library homepage at www.rmlib.org and click on eBooks & More. (You can also go directly to My Media Mall
(www.mymediamall.net).
Note: Be sure to use the full desktop version of the My Media Mall website rather than the mobile version.
● Click on Sign InatthetopofthepageandselectRolling Mead-ows Libraryfromthedrop-downlist.
● Enteryourlibrarybarcode(withoutspaces)andPINintheap-propriate spaces. Click Sign In.
Finding eBooks for ALL KindlesOPTION A: Searching for an eBook● Click in the Search Box in the upper right hand corner.

OPTION B: Selecting a category ● Select a category to search under eBook Fiction or eBook Non-
fiction.TheselinksarelocatedintheblackboxfoundundertheMyMediaMalllogoatthetopofthepage.

Refining your search● Under Format ontheleftsideofthescreen,selectKindle Book.

● Type the title, author, or keyword you wish to locate in the box labeled Search within results…Youcanfurthernarrowdownthesearchbyselectingasubjectorpublisherfromthelistontheleftsideofthepage.
● BookcoverswillappearforeBooksavailableinMyMediaMall.In theupper rightcornerof the image isapictureofanopenbook. A dark open book means a title is available whereas a pale imagesignifiesthatthebookischeckedout.
● ClickonabookcovertocheckouttheeBookorgetadescriptionofthebookandinformationontheauthor.
● To check out an eBook, click on the Borrow button.

Note: If a title is checked out, you may place a hold on it by clicking the Place a Hold link and entering your e-mail address. You will be notified via e-mail when the book is available.
● Next, click on the Go to Bookshelf button.
● Use the pulldown menu to select the Kindle format.ClickConfirm Download.
● My Media Mall will link you to Amazon.com, where you will complete the checkout procedure.

Once you are at Amazon.com, you will need to log into your Am-azon account.Next,KindleFireuserswill need to follow the in-structionsunderOptionA.Somepublishersrequirethetransferoftheir eBooks via USB cable. For these books, the Kindle Fire and all otherKindleuserswillfollowOptionB.
Downloading to Kindle via Amazon.com
● Use the drop-down menu to select a device you wish the eBook to be delivered to (e.g. Kindle Fire, another Kindle, or to another devicewithaKindleApp)andclicktheGet Library Book button.
OPTION A: Downloading directly to Kindle Fire
● Tap the Gear Icon in the upper right corner ofthe screen and select Sync from theoptions.Yourbookwillappearonyourdevice’sbookcase and the carousel of materials found on thehome page.
Note: Sometimes Kindle Fire users will be prompted to transfer via USB. If this is the case, follow the Option B directions.
● Use the drop-down menu to select Transfer via Computer and click the Get Library Book button.
OPTION B: Downloading via USB for all other Kindle devices
● If you have more than oneKindle registered to your Am-azon account, you will see a pop-up window asking you to choose one of your reg-istered devices. Select the appropriate Kindle or Kindle app. Click Continue.

● Youwillbepromptedtoopenorsavethefile.SelectSave File and click OK.
● ConnectyourKindletothecomputer’sCPUwithaUSBcable.YouwillfindyourKindlelistedinthesamelocationthatexternalUSB drives usually appear. (For Windows users, this is typically in the Computer or My Computer menu. For Mac users, this drivewillappearonthedesktop.)
● OpentheKindledrive.Draganddropthedownloadedfileintothe documentsfile.
● SafelyunplugyourKindlefromtheCPU.
● OpenthetransferredeBookviatheHomescreen.

Returning and Deleting eBooks early for ALL Kindles● Log into your Amazon account at www.amazon.com.
● Click on the link Manage Your Kindle.
● YouwillseealistofbooksonyourKindle–bothpurchasedfromAmazonandborrowedfromyourlibrary.
● Click on the ActionsbuttontotherightoftheeBookyouwishto return.

● Select Return this bookfromtheoptionsonthedrop-downmenu.
● Onceabookisreturned,youcandeletethetitlefromyourKin-dle Library using the Actions menu.
