� Develops the first indigenous micro computer at the same time as Apple and

3 years before IBM'Spc in 1978.

HISTORY OF HCL

In 1976, Shiv Nadar , Arjun Malhotra,Subhash Arora, Badam Kishore Kumar ,T.V Bharadwaj,& Arun Kumar startedMicrocomp Limited. The focus of thecompany was design and manufacturing

of scientific calculators. The ventureprovided its founders money to start acompany that focused on manufacturingcomputers. The company name "HCL"used to stand for "Hindustan Computers

Limited" but now HCL is the only onename that the company goes by. HCLreceived support from the Uttar Pradeshgovernment to setup manufacturinginNoida.

First check this com uter is in ONGC domain or not,

if not then change its domain as follows:-

A green icon is appeared on bottom tool bar ,that is DSM AGENT

Put the IP address of that server,

through which we have to connect that pc:-

e.g. If we install the DSM AGENT inIT DIVISION building \\10.205.8.27

e.g. If we install the DSM AGENT inIDT building \\10.205.19.29

This will give us set up file of DSM AGENT,

which is saved at this IP server location

Double click on ¶set up¶ After some steps««



HOW WE CHECK THE STATUS OF DSM

This give the IP address of that domain,

Through which it is connected.

If status is unknown

Then type >caf r est ar t«..It reset its IP address

If DSM is installed it gives its status,

i. e. running or unknown

If running , then type > caf set server addr ess««..

First go to run command window

Then type > caf st at us««..
