Retirees/Seniors Monthly meeting – Wednesday, September 14th at 11:15 AM in the Annex Parking Lot. We are going to Knightdale Seafood & BBQ. Home Study for Men & Women - The Truth Project: This 13-week study from Focus on the Family is designed to equip believers with a true biblical worldview. According to recent research, only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers, and their lives often lack a sense of significance, satisfaction, and purpose. In this study, Dr. Del Tackett will guide believers through key truths of Scripture that will enable participants to overcome the lies of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Greg and Becky Hargis will be hosting a Truth Project small group in their home on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 starting on September 12th. Financial Peace University Class for Men and Women: This 13-week curriculum, taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey, is highly entertaining for everyone, with a unique combination of humor, informative financial advice, and biblical messages. More than 70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, and 33% of Christian marriages end in divorce, with money problems being the number one cause. FPU is designed to help families gain control over their finances and avoid becoming another statistic. Mark and Sarah Grace McClanahan will be facilitating this class on Tuesday evenings starting on September 13th from 6:30–8:30 in the original sanctuary. Follow-up Study to Wake Up Call Simulcast - Expecting to See Jesus: In this 9-week study, Anne Graham Lotz teams up with Dr. Henry Blackaby and Dr. Crawford Loritts to call Christians to wake up to the fact Jesus may come in their lifetime. The study uses key biblical characters and events as examples to participants, with the hope of leading them into a genuine experience of life-changing, fire-blazing personal revival. There are two opportunities to join an Expecting to See Jesus small group: Wednesday evenings (Men & Women) with Chris Riley starting on September 14th from 6:30–8:00 in MPF Room 201 and Thursday mornings (Women Only) with Betsy Vaughn starting on September 15th from 9:30–11:00 in Education Building B. Study for Women: Made to Crave: This 6-week study by Lysa TerKeurst teaches participants that craving isn’t a bad thing. However, for many women, food has become more about frustration than fulfillment. Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary

to make that happen. This study is designed to be a helpful companion to use alongside any healthy eating plan you choose, to help you find the “want to” in how to make healthy lifestyle changes. There are two opportunities to join a Made to Crave small group: Tuesday mornings with JoAnne Roy starting on September 13th from 9:30–11:00 in Education Building B, and Wednesday evenings with Dee Mozingo starting on September 14th from 6:30–8:00 in MPF Room 207. Study for Women - Lord, Change My Attitude: This 12-week study by James MacDonald uses examples from the Israelites’ journey out of Egypt to show how attitudes can affect whether or not we miss out on God’s intended blessings or enjoy them deeply. Learn how to lead others (and even yourself) out of attitudes God hates and into those that honor Him: from complaining to thankfulness, from coveting to contentment, from criticism to love, from doubt to faith, and from rebellion to submission. Stephanie Hall will be facilitating this Wednesday evening study starting on September 14th from 6:30–8:00 in MPF Room 206. Study for Men - Courageous: This 4-week study is based on the new movie, Courageous, from the creators of Fireproof and Facing the Giants, which is due to open in theaters on 09/30/2011. This study is designed to help strengthen fathers and their families by focusing a father’s responsibilities within the family, his priorities in life and in the family, the legacy he leaves for his kids, and his growing faith in Christ. At the end of the study, the class will be taking a field trip to view the movie Courageous in a local theater. Steve Hall will be facilitating this Wednesday evening study starting on September 14th from 6:30–8:00 in MPF Room 200. Pastor’s Study for Men and Women: A Study through the Book of Psalms - Pastor Steve will be leading this open class for anyone who is interested in a Wednesday morning Bible study. Bob and Mattie met while Bob was in the Air Force, stationed in Goldsboro. They have three children, two daughters and a son, and have been blessed with 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. They have been coming to Hocutt for about six months. They were looking for a church where they would be fed

spiritually, and have found it here at Hocutt! They like the people here, as well as the preaching and the choir. They attend the 11 am service. Bob has been retired

for several years and just enjoys piddling around in the yard. Mattie loves scrapbooking, reading, and studying her Bible. They are members of Joyce Ennis'

Sunday School class.



How Do I Become A Member of Hocutt?

Senior Pastor. Upon completion, you may come forward during an invitation to
