Dear Seniors,

Christmas is almost here! It means so much to different generations. ... Our grandchildren bounce around with excitement at all the presents under the tree. ... Our children are busy helping in the kitchen pre-paring meals and general cleanup, ... Phil & I just sit back and watch and enjoy!

The best part is when we all gather around the tree for Grandpa to read the Christ-mas Story from Luke. It

brings our focus back to the true meaning of Christmas.

Looking into the new year:

• Wednesday, Jan. 9, 16, 23, 30 at 9:30 am – Bible Study : “Marks of a Healthy Church” facilitated by Jim Young -Study Guides available the first session

• Friday, Jan. 11 at 5:30 pm – Movie Night & Supper

• Thursday, Jan. 17 at 10 am – Miss Lacys, in Sanford, for Lunch

• Monday, Jan. 28 at 11:30 am – NBC Covered Dish Lunch & Program

Merry Christmas,

Phyllis

What does the Bible say about Sunday School

Colossians 2:1-23

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those

at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their

hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the

riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's

mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom

and knowledge. I say this in order that no one may delude you with

plausible arguments. For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in

spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in

Christ.
