This product provides a business management solution for managing and integrating finances, e-commerce, supply chain, manufacturing, project accounting, field service, constituent relationships, and human resources. TO ALL STATE AGENCIES AND OTHERS AUTHORIZED TO USE STATE CONTRACTS: The Microsoft CLA (Custom License Agreement) Program Agreements have been extended as follows; The Education Select Program Agreement 01S62995 and Government Select Program Agreement 01S62996 programs have been renewed for three years from 7/1/09 through 6/30/12. The Enterprise Agreement Program Agreement 01E61940, Campus Agreement Program Agreement 01C31451, and School Agreement Program Agreement 01H31423 programs have been renewed for two years from 7/1/10 through 6/30/12. The current term of Contract PT61408, with HP as the reseller, runs through 6/26/10. All program agreements of the CLA with Microsoft are independent of PT61408 renewal options, but allow for the continuation of those Program Agreements of the CLA that underlie PT61408. The following information is designed to assist only those enrolled in a Select Program. All existing Select Program enrollments will automatically be renewed or extended enabling enrollees to seamlessly continue to purchase through the Select programs. For current enrollments, enrollees are not required to do anything to continue purchasing from this program or using their licenses. However, Software Assurance (SA) for products currently enrolled with SA all expires on June 30, 2009. Optional commitments to continue SA coverage must be made prior to September 30, 2009 through a renewal order (for SA only), if enrollee wants to continue coverage for those products, to be entitled to future upgrades, or any other SA benefits during the Select renewal period. The effective date of such renewal order shall be July 1, 2009, which is the day following the expiration of the previous term and must be

made within 90 days of expiration. SA is a commitment for the 36 month term of the program, which may be spread over three annual payments and payable at the beginning of each annual period or payable in one payment for the full Select term. During the first two years of the Select Program extension period, new license fees purchased with SA may be spread over annual payments, along with SA. For example, suppose a server license costs $100 without SA, or $175 with three years of SA. During the first year of the extension period, this license may be ordered with SA for three annual payments of $58.33 each, which is nearly 42% less expenditure in the first year compared to the $100 up-front amount the user, otherwise would pay for the license alone without SA. Perpetual licenses previously purchased through the Select Program may continue to be used (subject to the terms of the license) forever. However, unless the license in continually enrolled in SA it may not be upgraded beyond the original version or the latest version available on the last day it is enrolled in SA, which currently will be 6/30/09. For new SA purchase made during the Select Program Microsoft does not prorate any portion of a year for less than the annual payment. However, they only charge for Select SA in the current year and any remaining years of the program. That's to say, they do prorate the remaining years for someone purchasing new SA in the second or third year of the program, so there is no obligation for expired years in the program. Here are examples using the current Select Program term of 6/27/06 - 6/30/09 where annual SA is $100 annually and purchased at time of license purchase. All Government (SLG) Select and Academic (ACA) Select Software Assurance (SA) purchased prior to 7/1/09 is scheduled to expire on 6/30/09. However, Microsoft has agreed to offer purchases of Licenses w/SA for the renewal term, that are made between 6/2/09 and 6/30/09, to also carry SA for the remainder of the current Select term and the new full three year Select term that will be starting on 7/1/09. These specific purchases will not expire on 6/30/09 and will not need to be repurchased after 7/1/09. Effectively giving customers purchasing L/SA in June 09 free SA for the remainder of the original Select term (i.e. through June 30, 2009, after which the paid coverage period will begin). Any L&SA purchases made on or after 6/2/06 will remain covered by SA for the full extension period through 6/30/12. Orders placed between June 2, 2009 and for the following 12 months may be paid either up-front, or in three annual installments. The 2nd and 3rd installments will be billed in June 2010 and June 2011, respectively. There will be a revised June price list posted by mid June to include the appropriate renewal License w/SA to enable this. Orders placed under a Select Agreement that include Software Assurance may be paid up front with one payment or in annual installments equaling the remaining years of the program, which is currently three years. If installments are chosen by the customer the 2nd and 3rd installments will be billed on the anniversary of the commitment or Program and payable to the LAR of record at the time payment is due. Authorized Users have the choice of determining which payment option they prefer at time of order and should consider the payment option that is best for their organization. Users who have elected Software Assurance Membership (SAM) on their Select enrollments may have qualified (based on purchases of Windows Upgrades and/or Microsoft Office) to receive Vouchers that may be redeemed for training at Microsoft Certified Technical Education Centers (CTEC). If this is the case, then these Vouchers must be claimed and printed, using the MVLS Web tool, on or before June 30, 2009. Once printed, the Vouchers may be redeemed with a CTEC at a later date, but if the Vouchers are not printed by June 30 then they will expire. Any enrolled users with SAM should therefore have their SA Benefits Administrators check MVLS as soon as possible to ensure that this valuable benefit is received. After June 30, new Training Vouchers may be earned both via new purchases and renewal of the prior SA coverage. Besides the June 30 expiration of future upgrade rights, certain other SA benefits, such as technical support and the Home Use Program, will also expire after June 30, 2009, unless SA coverage is renewed. Users who choose not to renew coverage should determine whether any of their employees are taking advantage of Home Use benefits, and notify the affected employees that the benefit has expired. All Software Assurance (SA) purchases made at any time during the extended (renewal) Select Program term will all terminate on 6/30/12. HP is available to provide any and all presales assistance necessary for authorized user in selecting the appropriate software to meet their entity’s needs and in determining the most cost effective buying strategies and/or best package to meet theses needs and in ensuring they are in compliance with the CLA.
