Introduction

Supra inboard ski boats are manufactured by Skier’s Choice, Inc. in Maryville, Tennessee anddistributed throughout the United States and the world.

This manual provides an overview for operating your Supra boat. It should be considered apermanent part of your Supra boat, and contains important information on Safety, Boating Rules,Proper Operation and Maintenance of your boat. Should the boat be sold, this manual willprovide the same important information to the next owner.

Be sure to read and understand all aspects of Boating Safety and Operation before using yourboat. If you have any questions, your dealer can provide the information you need to have asafe and pleasurable boating experience.

Boating Safety starts with a thorough understanding of yourequipment and its proper operation. In addition to carefulreview of this manual, you should be aware as well that thereare many sources of information available. Federal law requires certain safety equipment to be on-boardat all times. In addition, responsible boaters carry otherequipment in case of emergency. Check with the local boatingauthorities for any additional requirements over and abovethe federal stipulations.

Safety Equipment

Your Supra has been equipped at the factory with most of thefederally required safety equipment for inland waters (Class1, 16’-to-26’). This equipment includes:

- UL-approved Marine Fire Extinguisher, Type A-BC (2 lbs.),good for solids, liquids, and electrical fire

- ABYC-approved Marine Mufflers with water injection

- USCG-approved Marine Flame Arrestor

- USCG-approved Engine Box Ventilation with spark-lesspower blower

- ABYC-approved Electric Horn sound warning device

- USCG-approved inland lighting

Federal law also requires at least a Type I, II or III PersonalFlotation Device (PFD) for each person on board or beingtowed on water skis or other recreational equipment. Inaddition, one throwable Type IV PFD must also be on board.As the owner, obtaining the appropriate PFDs is yourresponsibility. Your Supra dealer can—and will be happy toassist you.

NOTE: Requirements for coastal waters and inland watersdiffer. Check with the local authorities for moreinformation.

A responsible owner will avoid potential problems on an outingby having additional equipment on board. Normally, thisequipment is dependent on the body of water and the lengthof the trip.

We suggest the following—as a minimum. Your Supra dealercan also assist you with additional recommendations.

- An anchor with at least 75-feet of line- A manual bailing device for removing water- A combination oar/boat hook- A day-and-night visual distress signal- A first aid kit and manual- An airway breathing tube- A waterproof flashlight- A set of local navigation charts- Mooring lines and fenders- Extra engine oil- A tool kit- A portable AM/FM radio or weather radio

Boating-related accidents are generally caused by theoperator’s failure to follow basic safety rules or writtenprecautions. Most accidents can be avoided if the operatoris completely familiar with the boat, its operation, and canrecognize potentially hazardous situations before an accidentoccurs.

Failure to adhere to these precautions may resultin severe injury or death to you and/or others.

- Improper operation is extremely dangerous. Operatorsmust read and understand all operating manuals suppliedwith the boat before operation.

- On-board equipment must always conform to thegoverning federal, state, and local regulations.

- Small children in the bow of the boat should beaccompanied by an adult at all times.

- Never stand or allow passengers to stand while the boatis moving. You or others may be thrown from the boat.

- Never operate the boat while under the influence ofalcohol or other drugs.

- Gasoline vapors can explode. Before starting engine,open engine box, check engine compartment for gasolinevapors, and operate blower for at least 4 minutes. Runblower below cruising speed.

- Leaking fuel is a fire and explosion hazard. Inspectsystem regularly. Examine fuel tanks for leaks orcorrosion at least annually.

- Never override or modify the engine safety shut-off switchor engine neutral starting safety switch in any way.

- Never remove or modify components of the fuel systemin any way except for maintenance by qualified personnel.Tampering with fuel components may cause a hazardouscondition.

- Never allow any type of spark or open flame on board. Itmay result in fire or explosion.

- It is the owner’s responsibility to check tightness of theRad-A-Cage Tower bolts BEFORE each use.

- The Rad-A-Cage Tower is designed to pull a single (1)individual. DO NOT climb or sit on the Rad-A-Cage Tower.Rope may loop on inverted tricks. DO NOT sit behindthe pulling point of the Rad-A-Cage Tower.

General Safety Precautions

- To avoid serious personal injury, DO NOT be on or aboutthe swim platform while engine is running and keep awayfrom rear of boat while engine is running.

- To avoid serious personal injury, DO NOT operate enginewhile anyone is on or about the swim platform or in thewater near the boat.

Failure to adhere to these warnings may result in severeinjury or death to you and/or others.

- Every skier must always wear a USCG-approved personalflotation device.

- Maintain a distance of at least 100 feet from all otherobjects, including other boats, piers, rafts, mooring andnavigational buoys, pilings, abutments, or any other items.

- Always have an experienced driver and observer in theboat when skiing.

- Never ski in shallow water, close to shore, or in waterwhere you do not know the depth or what is beneath thesurface.

- Never put your arm, head, or any other part of your bodythrough the handle-bridle of the ski line nor wrap the linearound any part of the body at any time.

- Never ski at night, or directly in front of other boats.

- Never jump from a boat that is moving at any speed, norenter or exit the water when the engine is running (ON).

- Make sure that everyone knows and uses approved skiinghand signals and common skiing courtesy.

Skiing Safety

Skiers are obligated to be as aware of the fundamental safetyrules as well as the boat operator. If you are new to waterskiing, seek certified training before starting. You will find itespecially helpful to join a local ski club, USA Waterski, orsimilar organization when possible.

Always remember that the majority of water skiing injuriesare the result of impacts with other objects, so always lookwhere you are going and be aware of what is going on aroundyou.

- The tow bar is not designed for vertical extensions. Anymodifications to the tow bar or its mountings may resultin damage to the boat and injury to the user.

- Rear storage area is located above the gas tank and isnot designed for ballast. Weight limit is 150 lbs. equallydistributed.

- The Rad-A-Cage Tower may strike low objects. Checkclearance height around docks, shore, overhangingobjects, bridges and power lines.

- DO NOT pull past 45 degrees of the centerline of theboat. Failure to follow this rule could result in the boatcapsizing.

Ski Pylon ExtensionsThe use of a ski pylon extension or extensions in excess of7-feet vertical is not recommended by Supra on ourproducts. If you elect to use merchandise such as these,be aware that they could create excessive stress on yourboat and subjectively cause damages not covered by thewarranty.

Basic Boating RulesYou should be aware of these rules and follow them wheneveryou encounter another vessel on the water.

The rules presented in this manual are condensed and havebeen provided as a convenience only. Consult your localU.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (USCGA) or Department of MotorVehicles (DMV) for a complete set of rules governing thewaters in which you will be using your boat. If you plan totravel—even for a short trip—you would be well served tocontact the regional USCGA or DMV in the area where youwill be boating.

Review and understand all local and state laws.

Any time two vessels on the water meet one another, onevessel has the right-of-way. It is called the stand-on vessel.The vessel which does NOT have the right-of-way is calledthe give-way or burdened vessel.

These rules determine which vessel has the right-of-way, andaccordingly, what each vessel should do.

The vessel with the right-of-way has the duty to continue itscourse and speed, except to avoid an immediate collision.When you maintain your direction and speed, the other vesselwill be able to determine how best to avoid you.

The vessel which does not have the right-of-way has the dutyto take positive and timely action to stay out of the way of thestand-on vessel. Normally, the give-way vessel should notcross in front of the stand-on vessel. Slow down or changedirections briefly and pass behind the other vessel. You shouldalways move in such a way that the stand-on operator cansee what you are doing.

This rule is called Rule 2 in the International Rules and says,“In obeying and construing these rules due regard shall behad to all dangers of navigation and collision, and to anyspecial circumstances, which may render a departure fromthe above rules necessary in order to avoid immediatedanger.”

Encountering Other VesselsThere are three main situations in which you may encounterother vessels and you must observe the Steering Rules inorder to avoid a collision. These are:

- Meeting (you are approaching another vessel head-on)- Crossing (you are traveling across the other vessel’s path)- Overtaking (you are passing or being passed by another

vessel)

Using the following illustration in which you are the boat inthe center, you should give right-of-way to all vessels shownin the white area. In this instance, you are the give-way vessel.All vessels in the shaded area must yield to you as you arethe stand-on vessel. Both you and the meeting vessel mustalter course to avoid each other.

If you are meeting another power vessel head-on, and youare close enough to run the risk of collision, neither of youhas the right-of-way. Both of you should alter course to avoidan accident. You should keep the other vessel on your port(left) side. This rule doesn’t apply if both of you can cleareach other by continuing your set course and speed.

When two power-driven vessels are crossing each other’spath close enough to run the risk of collision, the vesselthat views the crossing vessel to the starboard (right) sidemust give-way.

If the other vessel is to the port (left) side, maintain yourcourse and direction, provided the other vessel gives youthe right-of-way as it should.

If you are passing another vessel, you are the give-wayvessel. This means that the other vessel is expected tomaintain its course and speed. You must stay out of itsway as you clear it, altering course and speed asnecessary.

Conversely, if you are being passed by another vessel, youshould maintain your speed and direction so that the othervessel can steer itself around you.

There are three other rules to always remember whendriving your boat around other vessels.

When navigating in narrow channels, you should keep tothe right when it is safe and practical to do so. If theoperator of a power-driven vessel is preparing to go arounda bend that may obstruct the view of other water vessels,the operator should sound a prolonged blast on the whistleor horn—four to six seconds.

If another vessel is around the bend, it too should soundthe whistle or horn. Even if no reply is heard, however, thevessel should still proceed around the bend with caution.

If you navigate these type of waters, you should carry aportable air horn, which are available from local marinesupply stores.

All vessels which are fishing with nets, lines or trawls areconsidered under International Rules to be fishing vessels.Boats with trolling lines are not considered fishing vessels.

Fishing vessels have the right-of-way, regardless ofposition. These vessels, however, cannot impede thepassage of other vessels in narrow channels.

Sailing vessels should normally be given the right-of-way.The exceptions to this are:

- When the sailing vessel is overtaking the power-drivenvessel, the power-driven vessel has the right-of-way.

- Sailing vessels should keep clear of any fishing vessel.- In a narrow channel, a sailing vessel should not

hamper the safe passage of a power-driven vesselwhich can navigate only in such a channel.

The waters of the United States are marked for safenavigation by the lateral system of buoyage. The markersand buoys you will encounter have an arrangement ofshapes, colors, numbers and lights to show which side ofthe buoy a boater should pass when navigating in aparticular direction.

The markings on these buoys are oriented from theperspective of being entered from seaward while the boateris going towards the port. This means that red buoys arepassed on the starboard (right) side when proceeding fromopen water into port, and black buoys are to port (left) side.When navigating out of port, your position to the buoysshould be reversed: red buoys to port and black buoys tostarboard.

Many boating bodies of water are entirely within theboundaries of a single state. The Uniform State WaterwayMarking Systems has been devised for these waters. Thissystem uses buoys and signs with distinctive shapes andcolors to show regulatory or advisory information.

These markers are white with black letters and orangeborders. The information signifies speed zones, restrictedareas, danger areas and general information.

Remember: Markings may vary by geographic location.Always consult local boating authorities before driving yourboat in unfamiliar waters.

Break In PeriodTaking care to properly break in your new engine will pay offin the long run. In our years of field testing, we have proventhat an Indmar engine, when properly broken in according toour simple procedures, will last longer, run better and havefewer repairs over its lifetime.

Your new engine does not require an elaborate break-inprocedure. Just follow these simple instructions and you areoff to a great start.

The three (3) most important aspects of new engine break-inare:1.Avoid running engine at high speeds.2.Do not carry a heavy load (passengers, gear, etc.).3.Vary your boat speed during break-in, don’t run at the same

RPM for a long period of time.

BREAK-IN STEPS- For the first hour, do not exceed 2,000 RPM.- For the second hour, do not exceed 3,000 RPM.- For the next five hours, do not exceed 4,000 RPM

BREAK-IN TIPS- Avoid fast accelerations and don’t carry (or pull) a heavy

load during this period.- Always let engine warm up gradually before acceleration.- Check oil frequently. During the first 50 to 100 hours, an

engine can use more oil than usual. Maintain oil at aproper level at all times (do not overfill).

- Monitor transmission fluid levels.- Report abnormal noises or vibrations to your dealer.- Keep an eye out for loose mountings, fittings, nuts, bolts,

and clamps.

During the BREAK-IN process, engine temperature shouldbe carefully monitored and speed should be reduced ifoverheating is evident. ALSO, PLEASE REFER TO ENGINEOWNER’S MANUAL FOR BREAK-IN INFORMATION.

NOTICE: PLEASE REFER TO ENGINE OWNER’S MANUALfor maximum RPM and engine break-in procedure.After the first 20 hours of operation, take your boat to thedealer for its first oil and filter change, as well as an enginecheckup. Remember to keep a sharp eye on all gauges andwarning lights during these first hours of operation. Reportanything unusual to your dealer.

After the break-in procedure is over, your boat may beoperated continuously at any speed.

Do not exceed maximum RPM recommended for yourengine. Exceeding the maximum RPM may result indamage to the engine.

Before starting your engine you must open the enginebox and check engine compartment and bilge for gasolineand oil vapors.

Section VOperating Infomation

A standard pre-starting procedure should be always befollowed before the first start-up of the day.

1.Check the engine oil level.2.Check for gasoline fumes in bilge or engine compartment.3.Operate engine blower for 4 minutes to remove any fumes.4.Check manual operation of bilge pump. Make sure bilge

Canvas Cover

Your Supra boat cover is made from the finest canvas andwebbing to insure that your boat will be protected in the offseason. The cover has been designed to fit securely aroundeach boat. If you new cover does not seem to be snug, ashrinkage allowance has been sized in.

Use the following procedure when covering the boat:1.Be sure that the cover fits snugly at the bow then unfold

from front to back.2.Be sure to install cover pole(s) and adjust to proper height,

using set screw on pole(s). This will keep water fromgathering in the center, which can damage the cover.

3.Secure all fastening straps around the trailer frame.4.Pull the draw cord equally from both sides and tie off to the

lifting eyes on the stern in accordance with the illustration.

Folding CoverWhen folding the cover for storage, be sure the cover is dry.Take care not to scratch the canvas finish against roughsurfaces. Store in a dry location.Cover RepairIf the cover becomes damaged, immediately patch and resealthe area. Use a tent seam sealer to reseal any new stitches.Spray fabric guard on scraped or worn surfaces. Canvas tearsshould be repaired professionally and stitches sealed toprevent leakage.

The United States Coast Guard boating regulations prescribeminimum standards of safety to be met and maintained by allwatercraft. It is necessary that your boat remain in compliancewith these regulations.

The staff at Skier’s Choice, Inc. recommend that all boatoperators complete a Coast Guard approved boatingsafety course.

4F. When the engine starts, back off the throttle and allowthe engine to establish a good idle (30 to 60 seconds).

5F. Return the throttle to idle position and the transmissionlockout will automatically reengage the transmission inneutral position.

6F. When ready to get underway, shift slowly into forwardor reverse, allowing the transmission time to engagethe gearing before powering up.

To Start Carburetor Engine1.Place shift selector in Neutral with the throttle in the upright

(zero) position and push the transmission lockout buttonat the bottom of the lever to disengage the transmission.

2.Turn the ignition key to the start position to operate thestarter.

3.When the engine starts, release the key and it will returnto the run position.

4.With the transmission disengaged, push the throttle leverforward to increase the engine idle to 1200 to 1500 RPM.

5.When the engine idle smooths out, return the throttle toidle position and the transmission lockout will automaticallyreengage the transmission in neutral position.

6.When ready to get underway, shift slowly into forward orreverse, allowing the transmission time to engage thegearing before powering up.

To Start Electronic Fuel Injection(EFI) Engine

1.Place shift selector in Neutral with the throttle in the upright(zero) position. (If throttle is not in the idle position, thethrottle position sensor will not allow the engine computerto proceed with a normal starting procedure).

2.Turn Ignition Key to Start Position to operate the starter.3.Release the Key when engine starts (key will return to run

position).4.Allow the engine to establish a good idle (30 to 60 seconds)

before getting underway.5.Shift slowly into forward or reverse, allowing the

transmission time to engage before powering up.

NOTE: It is normal for the idle to speed up in cold startconditions.

DO NOT continue to operate the starter for more than 30seconds at a time without pausing to allow the startermotor to cool down for at least 2 minutes. This will alsoallow the battery to recover between starting attempts.PLEASE REFER TO ENGINE OWNER’S MANUAL FORADDITIONAL DETAILS.

NOTE: Should the EFI engine become “flooded” use thefollowing procedure to start:

1F. Place shift selector in Neutral and disengage thetransmission by pushing the transmission lockout buttonlocated at the bottom of the lever.

If Carburetor Engine Does Not Start1C. Place shift selector in Neutral with the throttle in the

upright (zero) position and push the transmission lockoutbutton at the bottom of the lever to disengage thetransmission.

2C. With the transmission disengaged, move the throttlelever back and forth from one/fourth to one/third throttle.

3C. While moving the throttle lever turn the ignition key toStart Position to operate the starter.

NOTE: Do not operate the starter for more than 15seconds at a time. Allow the starter to rest for a full minutebefore attempting this starting procedure again.

4C. When the engine starts, operate the throttle lever toestablish an engine idle of 1200 to 1500 RPM.

If Carburetor Engine Floods1D. Place shift selector in Neutral with the throttle in the

upright (zero) position and push the transmission lockoutbutton at the bottom of the lever to disengage thetransmission.

2D. Push the throttle lever to the full throttle (wide open)position.

3D. Turn Ignition Key to operate starter.

NOTE: Do not operate the starter for more than 15seconds at a time. Allow the starter to rest for a full minutebefore attempting this starting procedure again.

4D. When the engine starts, back off the throttle, but allowthe engine to idle at 1500 RPM until it smooths out.

Throttle Lever

The Transmission Lockout button allows the transmission tobe disengaged while giving the throttle full operating range.With the lever in the idle position (normally vertical) push thebutton located at the bottom of the lever to disengage thetransmission. The throttle may then be operated in any openposition (forward of neutral or back of neutral upright position).Return the throttle to idle position, and the transmission lockoutwill automatically reengage the transmission in neutralposition.

The throttle lever controls both the throttle and thetransmission. The idle position (normally vertical) is the zerothrottle position and the neutral position for the transmission.A safety ring (umbrella) keeps the lever from being accidentallymoved to engage the transmission.To place the transmission into gear, with your hand placedover the lever ball, pull up on the safety ring (umbrella) andslowly push the lever into forward gear or slowly pull the leverback into reverse gear.

Never shift the lever directly from the neutral (vertical) positioninto a speed position.- To prevent damage to the transmission always allow the

transmission time to engage before accelerating theengine.

- Once the transmissions engaged, you may accelerate asquickly as you like.

Bilge Area Drain Plug

The bilge area drain plug is located at the front of the motorwell, directly under the engine.

It is extremely important that the drain plug is always checkedbefore starting the engine. The drain plug should be securedin place using a wrench.

DO NOT start engine until center drain plug is checkedand secured in place. DO NOT try to install center drainplug while engine is running!

The rear drain plug is located at the back of the boat, nearthe bottom of the transom (See photo). It is extremelyimportant that the drain plug is always checked before startingthe engine. The drain plug should be secured in place usinga wrench.

DO NOT start the engine until the drain plug is checkedand secured in place.

DO NOT try to install the drain plug while the engine isrunning.

Filling the Tank

Fuel Precautions Fueling

The fuel cap is located on the rear deck near the stern. Aspecial fuel key is provided to open the cap.

NOTE: The cap is sealed by a rubber O-ring. Please donot over tighten.

Use a gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89.

DO NOT use gasoline containing methyl alcohol(methanol) or ethyl alcohol (ethanol). Methanol andEthanol can damage your boat’s fuel system.

Gasoline Stabilizer should be added to the fuel tank when theboat is used infrequently or whenever your boat will not beused for two weeks or more. During storage always addGasoline Stabilizer to reduce gumming or tank sludge.

Sparks while fueling could cause an explosion!

Before Fueling:1.Turn off engine.2.Turn off ignition.3.Extinguish cigarettes or any open flame.

While Fueling:1.Keep hose nozzle in contact with fill pipe to provide a

ground against static sparks.2.Fill tank at a slow rate to avoid any spillage.

Be especially careful when filling the fuel tank. DO NOTover fill the tank. Fuel may empty through the fuel ventand damage to finishes could result.

If fuel is spilled on stripes or decals, apply a common bathcleaner (nonabrasive) and wipe with a damp cloth. Rinse thespill area with clean water.

The speedometer indicates the water speed of the boat inmiles per hour. It is recommended that the speedometer bechecked for accuracy periodically.

Engine Hours are shown on the face of the Tachometer.

The engine hour gauge acts as an odometer for the engine.Engine hours should always be noted and documented sothat required maintenance and lubricant changes may beperformed at the proper intervals.

Engine Hours

The temperature gauge indicates the engine coolanttemperature while the coolant is circulating inside the engine.Engine operating temperatures will vary depending on theweather conditions and engine load. Normal operating temprange is between 160 degrees and 180 degrees.

NOTICE: Refer to your Engine Owners Manual foradditional details.

Damage from overheating an engine IS NOT warrantable.

Temperature Gauge

The tachometer registers the operating speed of the motor’sshaft output and may be used as an alternative tospeedometer if weight and water conditions permit.

DO NOT exceed the recommended RPM during break-in andnormal operation of your motor. Exceeding the manufacturer’ssuggested RPM may cause damage to the engine.

This gauge indicates the approximate quantity of fuelremaining in the tank when the ignition is in the “ON” position.

NOTICE: DO NOT run the tank to empty. To preventcondensation from forming in the tank, it is recommendedthat the tank be filled when the gauge indicates 1/4 tankof fuel remaining.

The following conditions may be considered normal operationof the fuel gauge and fuel system:

- Gas station pumps may shut off before the fuel gaugeindicates FULL.

- The amount of fuel required for fill-up may not exactlycorrespond to the gauge.

- The gauge needle may not move away from FULL untilsome time after fill-up.

- The gauge needle may move during turns, stops andacceleration.

NOTICE: Become familiar with engine hourly fuelconsumption at various speeds and know when to checkthe fuel gauge.

Fuel Gauge

The voltmeter indicates whether the battery is charging ordischarging. The needle should be located in the normal rangewhile the engine is running.

If the voltmeter does not register in the normal range, theremay be a problem within the electrical system. It is normal forthe voltmeter needle to fall when starting the engine. Normalrange is 12 to 14 volts.

Voltmeter

The oil pressure gauge indicates the oil pressure in the enginewhile the engine is running.

If the oil pressure remains below the normal range of 20 to 40psi, stop the engine immediately. If engine is allowed to runwhile oil pressure is too low, permanent engine damage mayoccur.

Running the engine with low oil pressure may causesevere engine damage.

Oil Pressure Gauge

The Speedometer pickup is a paddle wheel located on thebottom of the boat. Poor water conditions may cause the wheelto become clogged or give incorrect information.

Depth Sounder

General Description

1.The depth finder will read to 199 ft., or the correspondingnumber of meters or fathoms. If the reading is less than19.9 ft., meters or fathoms, 1/10th increments will bedisplayed. If the reading is more than 19.9 ft., all readingswill be in whole numbers.

2.The depth finder has an audible and LCD displayed depthalarm with adjustable shallow and deep limits and a depthbelow keel offset feature. The settings once made arestored in memory and will remain even if the battery isdisconnected.

Operation:

1.Power On. The depth sounder will activate automaticallywhen the power to it is initially turned on. You do not haveto press the combination “ON/OFF MODE” keypad. TheLCD will illuminate showing the depth and will also showthe type of units selected, feet (FT), meters (M), or fathoms(F). To turn the depth sounder off, press and hold the“ON/OFF MODE” keypad for 4 seconds. Pressing the“ON/OFF MODE” keypad again will reactivate the unit.NOTE: The instrument is designed to have the internalLED lighting remain on as long as power is supplied evenif the unit is turned “OFF” at the keypad.

2.Depth Alarm. Shallow mode: Pressing the “ON/OFFMODE” keypad again displays the “SH” shallow depthalarm setting. This is the shallowest water that will activatethe alarm. Press and hold the up or down arrow keypadsto adjust the reading to the desired depth.Deep mode: Pressing the “ON/OFF MODE” keypad againdisplays the “DP” deep depth alarm setting. This is thedeepest water that will activate the alarm. Press and holdthe up or down arrow keypads to adjust the reading tothe desired depth. When the shallow depth setting is readby the depth sounder, the “SH” will flash on the LCD andthe audible alarm will sound rapidly. When the deep depthsetting is read by the depth sounder, the “DP” will flash onthe LCD and the audible alarm will sound at 2 beeps persecond.

NOTE: To fully deactivate an alarm, reset it to zero. Pressingthe “ON/OFF MODE” keypad temporarily deactivates thealarm. To reactivate the alarm press the “ON/OFF MODE”keypad until the depth reading appears.

3.Keel Offset. Pressing the “ON/OFF MODE” keypad againdisplays the “KL” keel offset setting. This can be set sothat the depth sounder either shows the depth below thekeel or the depth below the transducer. Press the up ordown arrow keypads to adjust the reading to the desireddepth no more than 19.9 ft. For example if the bottom ofthe keel is 2 ft below the transducer and you want thedepth sounder to read the depth below the keel, the displayshould be adjusted to read 2.0 ft

NOTE: Once a keel offset is programmed, the shallow anddeep alarms will be activated by the depth below the keel.

4.Units. Pressing the “ON/OFF MODE” keypad againdisplays “Un” on the LCD indicating the units mode. Presseither the up or down arrow keypads to set the units desiredto feet (FT), meters (M), or fathoms (F). These units,once set, will remain the same for all modes. Pressingthe “ON/OFF MODE” keypad again returns the depthsounder to normal operation.

Please refer to your stereo owner’s manual for properoperation instruction.

The stereo cannot be turned off by theremote. The “SRC” button on the stereo unit must be helddown for 3 seconds to completely turn the stereo off.Continue to hold the SRC button until the display goes blank.

If the face displays “ALL OFF”, yourstereo is in standby mode and drawing battery power whichwill drain the battery and may lead to a dead battery.

The navigation light switch supplies power to the Bow Light,the Stern Light and the Pole Light.

OperationWhen underway during night time operation, set the switch inthe NAV position to activate all of the running lights.

When docked or at anchor, set the switch i the ANC positionto activate only the pole light.

NOTICE: If lights fail to operate, press the circuit breakerunder the dash.

Navigation Lights Switch Accessory Switch

The accessory switch supplies power to an extra circuit foraccessories that may be added (such as heaters, hot watershowers, etc.).

NOTICE: If accessories fail to operate, press the circuitbreaker.

The blower switch activates the blower motor. The primaryfunction of the blower fan is to remove any fumes from thebilge area. The blower also draws fresh air into the enginecompartment.

Never depend solely on the blower to eliminate dangerousfumes. Before starting the engine, always open the motorbox to check if fumes are present. Switch on the blower fan aminimum of four minutes before starting the engine.

NOTICE: If the blower fails to operate, reset the circuitbreaker. If the blower still does not operate, notify yourSupra dealer.

Failure to operate the blower in accordance with the CoastGuard Recommendation could result in an explosion.

Located on the port side of the dashboard, the ignition switchhas three positions. In the vertical position the ignition is OFF.With the key in, turn the ignition switch one notch to the rightto check all electrical equipment, including blower, pump, andlights. Turn the ignition all the way to the right to operate thestarter.

NOTE: All electrical equipment should be turned off whenthe boat is in storage.

Tilt Steering

Tilt steering may be adjusted up or down in five different lockingpositions. To adjust, depress the tilt lever located beneath thebezel and move the steering wheel to the desired position.Release the lever to lock the wheel into place.

The Horn Switch is located on the port dash panel near theignition. Sound the horn by depressing the button.

Bilge Pump Switch

The bilge pump switch operates in two positions. The manualposition is used to verify that the pump is operational.

The automatic pump function is engaged at all other times sothat any excess water in the bilge may automatically bepumped out.

NOTICE: If the Bilge Pump fails to operate in the manualposition, press the circuit breaker reset button labeledBILGE. If the bilge pump still does not operate, notifyyour Supra dealer.

Courtesy Lights Switch

The Courtesy Lights switch supplies power to the interior lightslocated to the rear of the helm.

NOTICE: If lights fail to operate, press the circuit breaker.

The V-Drive transmission in your Supra is equipped with a“low pressure” warning light. This light is located by thedash. Do not operate your Supra if the warning light remainson, whenever the engine speed is above, 1,200 RPM (+/-400 RPM). This warning light should be on whenever theengine speed is below 1,200 RPM (+/- 400 RPM). If thislight remains on during operation above idle, shut yourengine off immediately and check your v-drive oil level andsee your dealer.

Hippo Ballast System

The optional Hippo Ballast System is an electronicallycontrolled 3 bag ballast system that can be operated fromthe driver’s seat. The switch panel is located directly belowthe shifter mechanism and allows independent filling anddraining of each ballast bag. If bags fail to fill or drain, youmay check the hippo fuse block located under the dash areato insure fuses have not blown. The 3 ballast bag system islocated in the front ski locker, starboard rear storagecompartment, and port rear storage compartment.

Care should be taken that the ballast bags are situatedproperly with the fill hose on top and drain hose on bottomand that all fittings are installed securely. The bags shouldnot be twisted and the bags should be free to expand anddrain completely. Care should be taken to prevent sharpobjects from coming in contact with the bags. Cuts andpunctures to the bags are not warrantable.

Each Hippo system also includes a manual shut off valvein case of emergencies. If closed, the valve will preventany water from entering the system and is only used inemergency situations. Under normal use the valve shouldremain open to allow full flow of water into system.

To allow water into the system, Hippo ballast systems utilizea scooped intake strainer to force water into the systemwhether the boat is sitting still or underway. If air becomestrapped in the system, it may be necessary to run the boatat planning speeds to force air through the system and allowthe fill pump to prime fully. Once the pump has primed it isno longer necessary to run the boat for filling. This situationmay occur if the boat is trailered for long distances.

Ignition Keys

Two ignition keys are provided withthe boat. Key entry into the ignitionmay be difficult due to the bootprotector. Please, do not undulyforce the key into the ignition. Keytumblers are located vertically, thusthe key should be vertical whenplaced into the switch.

NOTE: Always attach the ignitionkey and gas key to a floating keychain to prevent loss in the water.

Driver Seat

MirrorThe rear view mirror is installed as a standard item. The mirror is adjustableand is not permanently placed so that it may be set for each driver.

- Mirror should always be checked before driving.

- Mirror angle will change with each new driver.

Fuel Cap Key

To prevent tampering with fuel system, your Supra is providedwith a gas cap, which may be opened only with a special key.

NOTICE: The gas cap is sealed by a rubber O-ring.DO NOT over tighten!

Always attach the ignition key and gas key to a floatingkey chain to prevent loss overboard.

The driver’s seat may be adjusted forward or backward bymoving the lever below the front of the seat (Lever-A in thephoto). Use body pressure to move the seat to the desiredposition. Release the lever then check to feel the seat lockinto place.

After adjusting the seat, be sure that it has locked intoplace by pushing forward and backward until it hassecurely latched.

DO NOT attempt to adjust the driver’s seat while the boatis moving.

Driver’s Seat & Seat Adjustment Inboard Motor Box

The motor box encloses the inboard engine and quiets enginenoise. To open, stand on either side of the engine toward thestern seat. Grasp the handle and pull up at approximately a45 degree angle. If the engine requires maintenance, openthe box until it rests open.

The motor box base is fitted with quick release rubber hold-downs and stainless steel brackets for easy removal.

V-Drive Engine Compartment

To access the engine, pull the black strap up to trigger thesun deck release.

NOTE: If the strap is shut inside the engine compartment,you will need to reach through the side storage andmanually release the trigger.

When the ski locker is closed, the upholstered lid doubles asa cushioned sun deck.

V-Drive Ski Pylon

The ski pylon is to be used to pull skiers. DO NOT use skipylon to hoist boat! Only use the lifting rings for this purpose.

DO NOT mount any Pylon Extension on the rear pylon(located at the rear sundeck).

Inboard Ski Pylon

The ski pylon is located in the center portion of the boat directlyin front of the motor box. The ski pylon is to be used to pullskiers. DO NOT use ski pylon to hoist boat! Only use thelifting rings for this purpose.

NOTICE: The use of pylon extensions may cause thepylon to loosen. Please see your dealer for propertightening procedures.

The use of pylon extensions can severely effect the overallhandling of the boat. Follow pylon extensionmanufacturers directions for mounting.

DO NOT mount any Pylon Extension on the rear pylon(located at the rear sundeck of v-drive models).

Fire Extinguisher

A standard United States Coast Guard approved fireextinguisher is provided with your Supra boat. The fireextinguisher is located under the observer’s seat cushion.

NOTICE: Refer to the instructions on the fire extinguisherfor proper use.

Flame Precautions

Sparks while fueling can cause explosion! Extremecaution should be taken when an open flame is presenton board. Fumes from the engine and fumes from thebattery are highly flammable. No flame or spark shouldcome near these areas.

Rad-A-Cage

To Lower Cage For Storage

Tools Required: 5/16” Allen Wrench

1.Loosen (but do not remove) the front 5/16-18 x 1-1/4” allenhead bolts that connect the front legs to the foot.

2.Remove the hand knobs of the rear feet.3.While standing in the bow area, pull the cage forward, gently

placing it against the bow of the boat.

Place padding between the cage and the boat to protectthe gel coat finish from scratches.

To Raise The Cage

Lift and rock the tower back into place until the rear legs alignwith the rear feet. (Some manipulation of the cage may berequired to get the legs to line up with the feet). Install bothbolts and tighten all bolts.

The threads in the aluminum foot could be damaged ifthe bolts are not aligned and threaded correctly!

Rad-A-Cages are designed to pull one wakeboarder,kneeboarder or trick-skier.

If your Supra model has been equipped with an optional RAD-A-CAGE towing tower, please review this section for detailson it’s usage, maintenance and storage.

The cage is designed as a stable tower to enhancewakeboarding. It is NOT intended to be used to tow skiers,barefoot skiers, or multiple wakeboarders. Such use will voidany warranties written or implied.

Before use, be sure that all mounting bolts are properlytightened in place.

Be aware of and avoid low overhead objects such asbridges, power lines, overhanging trees, etc.

Pole Light Receptacle

The pole light receptacle is located on the starboard of thestern, along side of the sun deck. To install pole light, slideopen the weather cover and insert the pole light in the alignedposition.

Courtesy Lights

Courtesy lights are installed at several locations in the interiorof the boat. The courtesy light switch is located on theinstrument panel and is marked “CTSY”.

Stern Light

The stern light is located at the center of the transom belowthe rub rail. This white light alerts other boaters when theyare approaching your boat from behind.

Bow Light

The bow light is located on the bow of the deck at the front ofthe boat. To alert other boaters to your position and direction.The light is green on the starboard side and red on the portside.

Pole LightOn some models, theremovable pole light is storedon the side wall of the rearstorage area. Gently pull thepole light from the mountingand place into the pole lightreceptacle.

The pole light must always bein place and illuminated whenvisibility is limited. The polelight must be displayed whileunderway from sunset tosunrise.

Lifting Rings

The forward bow eye is located just aft of the bow light. Twolifting rings are located on the transom.

Bow Eye

The bow eye is located at the front of the hull below the rubrail. It is the point of the attachment to lead the boat ontothe trailer and to secure the boat to the trailer or to tie-offwhen docking.

NOTICE: Do not use the boweye ONLY to hoist the boat.You must use a sling with thebow eye when hoisting theboat.(See Hoisting Instructions)

Sling

Ski Platform

The transom mounted ski platform allows easy access to andfrom the water for skiers and swimmers.

It is recommended that entries to and exits from the water bemade from the platform to avoid accidents. (The fiberglassdeck can become slippery when wet)

Shut off the engine when people are on the platform or inthe water near the platform.

Exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide. Direct orprolonged exposure to carbon monoxide will cause braindamage or death.

Bilge Inspection Plate

The fuel tank inspection plate/bilge inspection plate is locatedon the floor. Open the inspection plate by unscrewing it tocheck the condition of the fuel tank and wire harness or forwater in the bilge.

NOTICE: Keep this area clean and free of dirt and debris.

Ski Locker

Ski storage, depending on the model of Supra you own, islocated either between the observer’s seat and driver’sconsole on most v-drives or can be found under the sun deckof inboard models. On storage found between the driver andoberserver’s console, simply unsnap the strap and lift to open.Models with ski storage at the rear of the boat can be accessedby grasping the strap and pulling up and forward.

Detachable Bracket

The ski platform is attached to the boat with detachablebrackets. The platform may be removed from the boat pullingthe retaining pins from the brackets and lifting up and out.

Propeller

The research and design team at Skier’s Choice has carefullyexplored and tested many different propellers and pitch anglesfor use on our boats. All tests indicate that the current propellerinstalled on your model is the best for the variety of boatingperformance required, whether skiing competitively or forpleasure.

It is strongly recommended that your Supra dealer be notifiedbefore changing the propeller. In general, changing to a lowerpitched propeller may increase acceleration, but will decreasetop speed. Changing to a higher pitched propeller may achievehigher top speed with a light load, while acceleration and powermay decrease.

Wake Plate

The wake plate is located on the stern at the bottom of thetransom. Proper adjustment of the wake plate will allow bettercontrol of the trim.

Adjustment is made by turning the turnbuckles to the desiredosition, moving the plate up or down. Your dealer can helpyou with this.

Under normal conditions, the abest overall plate position isbetween 1/8” above or below horizontal.

NOTICE: DO NOT raise the wake plate above or below1/4” the horizontal plane.

Hydraulic Wake Plate

The hydraulic wake plate allows the driver to control therunning attitude of the boat. It can be controlled by the switchon the dashboard.

Trim Switch & Gauge

This switch controls the optional hydraulic wake plate. Thegauge indicates the position of the plate. The gauge will onlyread from 0 degree to 50 degrees due to limited hydraulicmotion.

V-Drive Battery Box

The battery box is mounted inside and to the rear of the portside storage compartment. To access the battery, open theport side storage compartment hatch and pull the cloth handleon the battery access door located in the rear of thiscompartment.

The battery is mounted inside the passenger side storagecompartment.

Filling the Tank

NOTICE: Pay careful attention when filling the fuel tank.DO NOT overfill the tank! Fuel may empty through thefuel vent and damage the outside finish.

If fuel is spilled on stripes or decals, apply a common bathcleaner and wipe with a damp cloth. Rinse spill area with cleanwater.

The fuel vent is a part of the gas filler neck. This vent isconnected to the fuel tank via the vent hose, which releasesgasoline fumes from the fuel tank.

Gasoline vapors are highly explosive.

Maintenance Chart

FRESH WATER COOLING SYSTEMThe standard cooling system for Supra boats is an opencirculation cooling system with intake water. This is preferredfor lakes and reservoirs with low salt content. If the engine isoccasionally operated in salt water, the cooling system shouldbe flushed with fresh water periodically and always beforestorage. If your boat is regularly operated in salt water, itshould be equipped with the optional salt water package.

SALT WATER COOLING SYSTEMThe optional cooling system for use on salt water is a closedsystem with a solution of 50% antifreeze and 50% fresh water.The coolant is left in the closed system and replaced once ayear.

Normal use of your Supra causes metal to metal movementat some parts in the boat. Driver seat track should belubricated with a water resistant chassis lubricant such assilicon grease.

V-Drive Remote Oil Filter

The oil filter is located below the engine. The engine manufacturerrecommends that you change the oil and oil filter after the first 10-20 hours use of your new boat. Thereafter, to maximize engine life,change oil and filter after every 50 hours of use (See EngineManual).

Crankcase oil should be selected to deliver the highest performancefor your operating conditions and climate. In general, engine oilswith lower viscosity ratings are used when temperatures remainlow or when better fuel economy is desired. Oils with higherviscosity ratings are used when temperatures remain higher andwhen higher performance is expected from the engine.

The Engine Manufacturer recommends Pennzoil 15W-40 MarineMotor Oil. If this is unavailable, a high grade with an A.P.I.classification of SH, SJ, SG/CD is acceptable.

Engine Oil and Filter

Oil Level Check

Engine oil level should be checked at regular intervals (suchas every 5 engine hours). To obtain a true reading, whenthe engine is at operating temperature and turned off, checkthe oil level showing on the dipstick.

If the oil level is between the “FULL” and the “ADD” markson the dipstick, simply replace the dipstick. When the oillevel is at or below the “ADD” mark, add oil to return thelevel to the “FULL” mark.

Depending on the model of your engine, you will have eithera water separator filter, or a fuel filter. If your engine has awater separator filter, it will be located on the front of theengine. If your engine has a fuel filter, it will be located on thestringer under the engine.

The fluid level can be checked by using the oil level gauge,which is located on top of the V-Drive transmission. This unitis located under the center cushion of the rear seat. Pull outthe cushion to access the transmission.

Pull the oil level gauge to check the fluid level. If the level islow, add fluid to the correct mark on the dipstick. Use SAE 30motor oil.

NOTE: Only a trained and qualified technician shouldperform the oil change on your V-drive unit.

V-Drive Fluid Check

The Shaft Log Packing Nut should be checked periodicallyand adjusted if needed.Adjust as follows:- Loosen the jam nut a few turns.- Tighten the shaft log packing nut by hand.

DO NOT over tighten.- Tighten the jam nut against the packing nut.- Check for leaks.

NOTICE: It is normal for the Packing Log to drip water ata slow rate of one drop every 15 to 30 seconds.

Your Supra electrical system is a negative ground type. Thenegative battery cable is grounded to the engine block. Thepositive battery cable is connected to the starter solenoid.

Connect the positive (+) battery cable to the positive (+) poston the battery. Connect the negative (-) battery cable to the(-) post on the battery.

Failure to connect battery cables as outlined will damagethe system and void the warranty.

Hydrogen and oxygen gases are produced during normalbattery operation and charging. Sparks or flames nearthe battery vent openings can cause the mixture to igniteand explode.

Sulfuric acid in the battery can cause serious burns. Ifspilled on skin or in eyes, flush with clean waterimmediately, then seek medical attention.

Section XCleaning, Care & Storage

Washing and waxing the boat hull and deck regularly willextend the life and beauty of your Supra. It is a good routineto rinse your boat with fresh water after each day’s use.

It is recommended that the hull land deck be cleaned andwaxed after every 25 hours of use. This will decrease waterfriction and lesson the potential for staining or spotting on thegelcoat surface.

When the original gelcoat shine cannot be restored by waxing,the shine may be restored by hand buffing with a commercialpolishing compound. Be sure to apply a new coat of waxcontaining Carnauba over the area that has been polished.

IMPORTANT: Porcelain cleaning powders are too abrasivefor use on gelcoat and may cause permanentdiscoloration if used. Household detergents containingammonia or chlorine should not be used on gelcoat.Never use acetone or ketone solvents to clean your boatfinish.

Fiberglass Care

The easiest way to preserve the beauty of your boat is tokeep it clean by frequent washing. Wash the boat with lukewarm or cold water. Wipe the boat down immediately afterwashing to avoid water spots. Avoid using hot water or washingyour boat in direct sunlight. Avoid using strong soaps orchemical detergents. To avoid spotting, all cleaning agentsshould be thoroughly rinsed from the surface promptly andnot allowed to dry on the finish.

Washing Your Boat

Use a sponge or other soft material to wash and wax the rubrail. To wax, use a commercial automotive bumper wax.

NOTICE: When tying up to a dock or another boat, alwaysuse cushioned fenders (dock bumpers) to protect your boatfrom hard surfaces.

Rub Rail Care

All Supra windshields are constructed of tempered safety glassto ensure passenger safety. The glass surfaces should becleaned regularly to ensure that visibility is not obstructed.

Use a commercial glass cleaner to remove any spotting orstubborn stains that develop on the windshield. Never useabrasive cleaners on glass surfaces.

BOAT HULL PROTECTIONIf your Supra is to remain in salt water for an extended period,the hull below the water line should be painted with a marinebottom paint. Bottom paint is also recommended for freshwater locations where the boat is left in the water for extendedperiods of time.

TEAK WOOD CAREIf teak wood has been installed on your Supra, a small amountof maintenance will be required to retain the natural beauty.Teak wood should not be varnished. Instead, teak oil ormineral oil should be applied. Oil should be applied 3 to 4times per year. If teak has been allowed to become gray anddry, sand with fine grit paper and reapply teak oil.

All upholstery items on your Supra are made of tough marinegrade vinyl that is easily cleaned.

Section XIWinterization & Dry Storage

When the boating and ski season comes to a close, it isrecommended that your Supra boat be removed from thewater and stored for the winter months.

It is extremely important to follow the proper winterizingprocedure. The engine must be correctly winterized forsafe storage in your climate. This should be done by aprofessional. Your Supra dealer will know exactly whatmust be done to insure the longest possible life for yourboat.

In addition to preparing the engine the following tasks shouldbe done to winterize the boat:

1.Remove the center drain plug from the boat.2.Thoroughly clean the boat inside and out. Inspect the hull

for any residue or algae growth and remove if required.3.Clean the bilge area thoroughly and operate the bilge pump

to remove any water from the bilge hose.4.Remove all seat cushions and open all storage areas to

air circulation in the boat interior. When thoroughly dry,replace cushions and close storage areas.

5.Top off fuel tank to prevent any condensation fromaccumulating in the fuel system. Use a commerciallyavailable fuel stabilizer to remove water and preventgumming.

6. If the boat is stored on its trailer, insure that the boat isproperly positioned. If possible lift the tongue so that thebow is slightly raised to promote drainage from the centerdrain hole.

7. Install the canvas cover and secure the straps inaccordance with cover instructions.

NOTE: During the winter months, water is a boat’s worstenemy. Always store the boat when the interior iscompletely dry. Periodically check on the condition ofthe stored boat.

When connecting the trailer to your tow vehicle use thefollowing procedure:1.Raise the tongue with the trailer jack, position the trailer

tongue directly over the 2" ball, and lower the jack untilthe tongue goes all the way down over the ball.

2.Press down on the latch until it locks on the ball with a“click.” NOTICE: If your hitch ball has an excessive flatspot on top, the latch may not engage properly. If thelatch does not catch, check with your dealer or hitchinstaller before trailering.

3. Insert the locking pin into the tongue. (Lock pin hole is onthe side of the tongue)

4.When all weight is off the trailer jack, pull the jack lockpin and rotate the jack to the horizontal position and lockthe pin.

5.Attach the safety chains to the tow vehicle hitch. Crossthe chains and wrap them around each other once orpossibly twice allowing just enough slack to permit tightturns of the vehicle and trailer.

6.Connect the trailer light plug to the tow vehicle connectionto activate the lights.

7.Connect the brake safety cable.

Connecting the TrailerThe trailer supplied with your Supra was designed especiallyfor the boat with your convenience in mind. Please be surethat you have an appropriate tow vehicle before attemptingto trailer your boat. Your vehicle must be capable of towing5,000 lbs. and must be fitted with no less than a Class III(5,000 lb. max.) trailer hitch.

Read the trailer towing section of your vehicle owner’smanual before towing your trailer.

All Supra trailers require a 2” ball and a five (5) pin marinegrade trailer wiring connector. The standard height fromthe ground to the top of the hitch ball should be about 20inches. With the trailer attached to the tow vehicle, thetrailer should stand approximately level.

Trailer Alignment

When pulling the boat onto the trailer, be sure that it is centeredon the trailer.

The distance between the boat and the wheel runner boardshould be equal on both sides.

The following guidelines will prolong the life of the boat andtrailer:1.Always secure the boat to the trailer with tie-downs. Do not

place straps around fenders or lights.2.Always verify that the winch hook is securely in the bow

eye, the strap is tight and the winch handle locked in placebefore trailering.

3.Check the recommended pressure displayed on the sideof the tires and assure that it is maintained. Under-inflatedtires could cause trailer sway and excessive tire wear.

4.Before use, please read all information supplied with thetrailer by the manufacturer (Bearing Buddy, Boat Buddy andhydraulic brake actuator). Check wheel bearing grease.

5.Before operating Boat Buddy, check trigger setting and latchpin location. After loading, check latch pin and confirm thatit is properly seated in the eye hook before pulling trailerout of water. Wash Boat Buddy moving parts with highpressure water.

Unloading ProcedureTo unload the boat use the following procedure as a guide:1.Make sure that all drain plugs are securely in place.2.Unplug light cord before backing into the water.3.With Bow Eye Hook fastened, retract Boat Buddy latch pin

by pulling trigger into “safety” position. (If latch pin is bound,tighten winch to relieve pressure, then pull trigger into“safety” position).

4.With Bow Eye Hook fastened, back the trailer until the waterlevel is approximately 1 inch below the top of the trailerfenders. NOTICE: Ramp slopes vary, so actual level ofwater on trailer may be different. (NOTE: Caution onthis page!).

5.Follow the cold start procedure recommended in thismanual.

6.After starting the engine remove Bow Eye Hook.7.With engine idling, center steering wheel, engage

transmission and slowly pull throttle into reverse. Ease backon the throttle lever until the boat starts to move.

NOTE: Because your Supra is a direct drive inboard, whenbacking up, the stern will have a tendency to drift left orright depending on propeller rotation.

To load the boat on the trailer, position the trailer in thewater with approximately 1 inch of the top of the fendershowing.1.Set the Boat Buddy for loading by pulling trigger or latch

mechanism into “set” position.2. Idle/coast the boat onto the trailer using as little power as

possible, while keeping it centered between the guidepoles.

3.Power slowly forward until the bow eye solidly contactsthe Boat Buddy and the latch is triggered.

4.Winch hook must be attached to bow eye and tightenedbefore trailering.

DO NOT Power onto the trailer during rough conditions!Once correctly positioned on the trailer, switch off ignition.

DO NOT OVER POWER onto trailer or damage mayoccur to the boat and/or the trailer!

The trailer must be positioned for the correct water depthfor loading or you may damage the boat. Varying rampangles require different procedures. In general, thesteeper the ramp, the more shallow the trailer should bepositioned in the water. Your local dealer can help youunderstand this, should you require additional assistance.

NOTE: DO NOT attempt to use excessive power to freethat boat from dry carpet runners. Power off of the traileronly when the boat has floated free.

If the trailer is not submerged to the correct depth, thebow of the boat could drop when powering off incorrectly,possibly damaging the boat.

Supra Limited Warranty

Taking care of our product after it becomes yours has alwaysbeen “standard policy” at Skier’s Choice, Inc., the proudmanufacturer of the Supra line of boats. And to further proveour point, we offer the following limited warranty.

TERMS OF WARRANTY

During the applicable Warranty Period (as defined below),Skier’s Choice, Inc. (“Skier’s Choice” or the “Company”)warrants to the original retail purchaser (the “First Owner”)that the components and parts manufactured by Skier’sChoice (the “Covered Components”) of each new Skier’sChoice boat are free from any defects in material andworkmanship, under normal use and when operated andmaintained according to boat’s instructions (“Normal Use andOperation”).

- This Limited Warranty applies to all Covered Componentsother than the deck, hull, floor and stringers for a period ofone year (the “One-Year Warranty Period”) from the originaldate of purchase by the First Owner (the “Original PurchaseDate”).

- This Limited Warranty applies to the deck, hull, floor(excluding carpet) and stringers for the lifetime of the boat(the “Lifetime Warranty Period”).

This Limited Warranty may be transferred (for a minimal fee)to subsequent owner(s) only through a Supra Dealer duringa period of two (2) years from the Original Purchase Date.

Subject to the terms of this Limited Warranty, Skier’s Choicewill repair or replace, at its sole option, any CoveredComponent which is returned during the applicable WarrantyPeriod to the Skier’s Choice factory or to any other Supraauthorized repair facility (an “Authorized Supra Facility”),provided that:

- Only the Covered Components that are declared defectiveupon examination by Skier’s Choice will be repaired orreplaced under this Limited Warranty;

- Transportation of the boat, parts or components to and fromthe Skier’s Choice factory or the Authorized Supra Facilitymust be pre-paid by the owner;

- Notice of any claim under this Limited Warranty must beprovided to Skier’s Choice by the Authorized Supra Facilityno later than sixty (60) days after the owner becomes awareof the defect.

Notification of a claim or defect must be properly made directlyto an Authorized Supra Facility, who subsequently must submitthe claim information to Skier’s Choice at 5820 US 411 South,Maryville, Tennessee 37801. Information needed forprocessing a claim includes (1) Name and address of theowner; (2) Serial number of the boat; (3) Original retailpurchase date; (4) Detailed explanation of the defect;and (5) Estimated repair cost.

Note: Warranty repair or replacement cannot be madeuntil this information is approved by Skier’s Choice.

In case of defect of a Covered Component, Skier’s Choicewill use its reasonable best efforts to repair or replace theCovered Component within ninety (90) days of receiptthereof at its factory or an Authorized Supra Facility. Anywarranty on replaced or repaired components pursuant to thisLimited Warranty shall remain in effect only for the remainderof the original Warranty Period. The repair or replacement ofCovered Components will be made by Skier’s Choice withoutcharge to the owner for parts or labor. The replacement orrepair of the defective part or component as stated in thisLimited Warranty shall be the sole remedy of the owner andthe sole liability of the Company under this Warranty and anyimplied warranties.

There are no express or implied warranties on the parts andcomponents manufactured or sold by Skier’s Choice exceptas set forth in this Limited Warranty.

EXCLUSIONS

Claims or assertions relating to the following are specificallyexcluded from coverage under this Limited Warranty andSkier’s Choice disclaims any liability or obligation with respectto the following:

1.Defects in or damage caused by or relating to the engineor any part thereof. (Note: The engine may be covered bywarranty of the engine manufacturer. Please see enginemanufacturer warranty for details.)

2.Defects in or damage caused by or relating to the trailer orany part thereof. (Note: The trailer may be covered bywarranty of the trailer manufacturer. Please see trailermanufacturer warranty for details.)

3.Covered Components of a boat that has been sold ortransferred by the First Owner, unless this Warranty isproperly transferred through a Supra Dealer to thesubsequent purchaser(s) within two years of the OriginalPurchase Date.

4.Damage caused by, related to, or resulting from failure ofcomponents or parts which are not manufactured by Skier’sChoice, including but not limited to bilge pump failure.

5.The Limited Lifetime Warranty on the deck, hull, floor(excluding carpet) and stringers does not include hardwareor other components fastened or adhered to the hull, deck,floor or stringers.

6.Normal maintenance and upkeep relating to the boat orany part thereof, including but not limited to, alignment,adjustments, connectors, tune-ups and wear items, such

as, shaft packing, belts, hoses, filters, seals, gaskets, strutbushing, etc.

7. Damage to or malfunction of a boat, or any componentthereof, resulting from owner use, lack of maintenance,improper maintenance, impact, misuse, negligence,collision, delay in repair, improper hoisting or cradling ofthe boat.

8. Any and all consequential damages including, but notlimited to, costs incurred for haul-out, launching, towingand storage charges, telephone or rental charges of anytype, inconveniences, loss of use, or loss of time orincome.

9. Equipment installed by anyone other than authorizedfactory personnel at the Company’s production facility.Equipment replaced at an Authorized Supra Facilitypursuant to this warranty agreement remains underwarranty until the expiration of the Limited Warrantyperiod.

10. Any boat which is: (a) used for rental or other commercial,military or industrial purposes; (b) used in boat racing,demonstrations, ski school, or similar events; (c) altered,modified, repaired or replaced so as to increase the cubicinch capacity or horsepower output of the engine andboat as originally manufactured; (d) not properly storedor maintained.

11. Speeds, fuel consumption and other performancecharacteristics because they are estimated and may vary.

12. Damage to or defects in paints, varnishes, gelcoatsurfaces and colors, finish distortions, chrome plated oranodized finishes, floor covers and any other surfacecoatings.

13. Gelcoat discoloration, cracks, blisters or bubbles,including, but not limited, to those which may result froma boat being left in the water for long periods of time.

14. Upholstery cracks, mildew, stains or tears resulting fromowner use, lack of maintenance, improper maintenance,impact, misuse, negligence, delay in repair, use ofimproper cleaners or conditioners.

15. Skier’s Choice reserves the right to improve its productsthrough changes in design or material without beingobligated to incorporate such changes in products of priormanufacture.

OTHER LIMITATIONS1. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY LIMITS THE DURATION OF

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY ORIMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR PURPOSE TO THE PERIODSSPECIFIED HEREIN. Some states do not allow limitationson how long an Implied Warranty lasts, so this limitationmay not apply to you.

THE REMEDIES OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT ATTHE OPTION OF SKIER’S CHOICE,AS SET FORTH HEREIN, ARE THE ONLY REMEDIESAVAILABLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY. SKIER’SCHOICE DISCLAIMS ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITYFOR COSTS OR CHARGES DERIVED FROMINCONVENIENCE OF LOSS OF USE, COMMERCIALOR MONETARY LOSS DUE TO LOSS OF TIME,INCONVENIENCE, OR ANY OTHERCONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR INCIDENTALDAMAGES. Some states do not allow the exclusion orlimitation of incidental or consequential damages, so theabove limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

3. THIS WARRANTY IS IN PLACE OF ANY OTHEREXPRESS WARRANTIES.

4. THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO THE FIRST OWNERAND IS TRANSFERABLE TO SUBSEQUENTOWNER(S) ONLY THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED SUPRADEALER DURING A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS FROMTHE ORIGINAL PURCHASE DATE. SKIER’S CHOICERESERVES THE RIGHT TO NOT TRANSFER THEWARRANTY ON ANY BOAT THAT HAS BEENDAMAGED OR MISUSED.

5. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGALRIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTSWHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

6. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANYCONTRACTUAL LIABILITIES, INCLUDING PRODUCTLIABILITIES.

7. THE DEALER IS NOT THE AGENT OF SKIER’S CHOICEAND SKIER’S CHOICE DOES NOT AUTHORIZE THEDEALER, OR ANY OTHER PERSON, TO ASSUME ONBEHALF OF SKIER’S CHOICE ANY LIABILITY OREXPENSE INCURRED IN THE COURSE OFREPAIRING ITS PRODUCTS OTHER THAN THOSEEXPRESSLY AUTHORIZED IN THIS LIMITEDWARRANTY. THE DEALER MAY NOT EXTEND OR INANY WAY CHANGE OR AMEND THIS LIMITEDWARRANTY.

Owner’s Responsibility

1. Before operating your Supra, it is necessary to read andfully understand this Owner’s Manual and all otherinformation delivered with the boat.

2. It is the owner’s responsibility to take the boat to anauthorized Supra dealer to obtain warranty service.

3. It is the owner’s responsibility to properly operate andmaintain the boat in accordance with this manual and allother information delivered with boat.

4. The owner should keep maintenance records should itbe necessary to show that required maintenance hasbeen performed on the boat.

Dealer’s Responsibility

1. The Dealer should provide the buyer with an adequateorientation in the general operation of the boat and reviewall systems and accessories included with the boat.

2. The Dealer should deliver a complete owner’s manualpacket with the boat consisting of Owner’s Manual,Registration Engine Manual, Stereo Manual, SupraWarranty and all warranties for separately warranted itemsaboard the boat.

3. The Dealer should review all warranty information withthe buyer and assist in filling out warranty cards ifnecessary.

4. The Dealer should insure that any information orobligation from either Skier’s Choice, Inc. or from thedealership is clearly understood by the buyer.

5. The Dealer should instruct the buyer in obtaining localservice and out-of-area service for a Supra boat.

Customer Assistance

The staff at Skier’s Choice, Inc. is concerned with yourcomplete satisfaction. This includes the prompt resolution ofany problems that may arise during the warranty period.Normally, problems encountered may be efficiently andeffectively resolved by your Supra Dealer. However, if aproblem cannot be handled by the Dealer or if a solution isnot satisfactory to you as an Owner, please follow these stepsto get the matter resolved:

STEP ONEDiscuss the problem with a member of your Supra Dealer’smanagement staff. It is most likely that the problem will beresolved at this level.

STEP TWOIf the Dealer management does not resolve the problem toyour satisfaction, please have the problem and all action taken,documented by the Dealer, then contact the factory CustomerService Representative at Skier’s Choice, Inc.:

Describe the original problem in detail to the Customer ServiceRepresentative. Be prepared to furnish appropriatedocumentation and the reasons why service by the Dealerwas unsatisfactory. STEP THREEFinally, if after following these steps and providingdocumentation and after obtaining necessary authorizationfrom the Customer Service Representative to take additionalaction, the problem is still not resolved to your satisfaction,the President of Skier’s Choice, Inc. will personally reviewthe problem and make a determination concerning finalresolution.
