The CG PL UMPP , aw a rded on a 20 year BOO T b a sis, will be India’s first private sector power project using supercritical boiler technology; and is expected to be the m os t energy efficient p l ant in I ndia. CGPL will draw seawater from the Mundra coast for various utilities and for their main boiler. T he Aq ua te c h S WR O s ys te m c ons is ts of a 2 x 6,160 GP M (2 x 1,400 m 3  / hr) p ret rea tm e nt p la nt comprising of Lamella Clarifiers followed by two- s ta ge filtration using Dual Media and Pressure Sand F ilters . The SWRO s ystem c o nsists of fo ur s tre ams o f SWRO b a nks followe d b y tw o banks of B WR O. Aquatec h als o has a ma ndate to c arr y out the O&M for a p eri od of T hree ye ars a fter c om mis s ioning of the C GPL projec t. 46,000 mg/l and a maximum feed water temperature of 95 0 F (35 0 C) . T his ha s ho w ev er no t deterred Aquatech from committing stringent treate d wa te r qua li ty o f les s than 450 mg / l TDS levels a t t he out let o f S WRO and 5- 7 mg /l TDS levels a t th e ou tlet o f B rac kis h Wa te r R ev ers e Osmo s is S ys tems (BWRO).

The Fac ility  

India’s first Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) atMundra in Coastal Gujarat, a 4,000 MW coal fired

(CGPL), a Ta ta Power group c ompany. Ta ta Pow er is

India's largest private sector power utility with an

insta lled ge neration c ap ac ity of o ver 2,300 MW. The

Filters. The SWRO system c onsists of four streams o

SWRO banks followe d by tw o banks of BWRO.

Aquatec h also has a ma ndate to c arry out the O&M

for a p eriod of Three years a fter com missioning o

the CGPL projec t.
