PURSUANT to the provisions of section 18 of the LocalGovernment (Rating) Ordinance, 1928, notice is hereby g'iventhat the M unicipal Board of K isum u has im posed the followingrates in respect of the year 1953 :-

(1) An original rate of one-half per centum on the unim-provrd value of land as appearing in the Valuation Roll,1952.

(2) An additional rate of one and three-quarter per centumon the unim proved value of land as appearing in theabove-described Valuation Roll.

(3) The above rates shall become due and payable at theofEce of the Town Clerk, K isum u, on the 30th day ofSeptem ber 1953. A discount of two and a half per

.7centum w1l1 be allowed on any rates paid prior to thesaid date, and interest on arrear assessment rates shallbe charged and collecyed from the 1st day of October,1953, at the rate of one per centum per m onth.
