AS THE THREE SEED: The Trail Blazers enter the 2018 Playoffs as the three seed in the Western Conference. Portland has been the three seed fi ve times previously, most recently in the in the 2000 Playoffs. The Trail Blazers have advanced to the Western Conference Finals three times as the three seed (1977, 1990 and 2000) and made the NBA Finals twice (1977, 1990) with Portland’s one NBA Championship coming as the three seed in 1977. LEADING THE WAY: Terry Stotts was hired as the 14th head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers on August 7, 2012. Stotts led the Trail Blazers to a 49-33 record in 2017-18 and has compiled a 272-220 record in six seasons with Portland. Stotts is the third-winningest coach in franchise history, and the fi rst Trail Blazers head coach since Rick Adelman (1989-1994 to reach the playoffs in fi ve con-secutive seasons (third overall in franchise history). With Stotts at the helm, the Trail Blazers ranked in the top-10 in scoring for each of the past four seasons (2013-14 to 2016-17) and had the NBA’s eighth-best defensive rating (104.2) during the 2017-18 season.

WINNING WAYS: The Trail Blazers ended the season with a 49-33 record, marking the team’s best fi nish since the 2014-15 season (51-31). It was Portland’s fi fth consecutive season with a record of .500 or better, the fi rst time the team has accomplished that feat since 1999-00 to 2003-04 (15 straight, starting 1989-90).

MODA-MENTUM: Portland won 21 of its fi nal 24 games at Moda Center (28-13 overall). The Trail Blazers had two nine-game winning streaks at home this season (12/28/17 - 2/8/18, 2/14/18 - 3/17/18), which marked the fi rst time the team won nine straight home games since the 2012-13 season. Portland was one of four teams in the NBA this season with two winning streaks at home of at least nine games (Houston, Philadelphia, San Antonio).

POINT MAN: Damian Lillard fi nished the season tied for fourth in the league in scoring (26.9). He is the fi rst Portland player to fi nish in the top-fi ve in scoring since Clyde Drexler was fourth during the 1991-92 season (25.0). Lillard fi nished sixth in the NBA in scoring each of the last two seasons.

GETTING DEFENSIVE: The Trail Blazers allowed the fi fth-fewest points in the league this season (103.0) while holding their oppo-nents to 44.7% shooting from the fi eld. Portland held it’s opponents below 100 points in 33 games this season, tied for the fi fth-most in the league. They were 26-7 in those contests.

DYNAMIC DUO: Damian Lillard (26.9 ppg) and CJ McCollum (21.4 ppg) combined to average 48.3 points per game this season, making them the second-highest backcourt in the league (49.0, Harden/Paul). Lillard and McCollum have each averaged over 20 points a game for three straight seasons. No other backcourt tandem in team history has done that once.

BOSNIAN BEAST: Jusuf Nurkic scored in double fi gures in the fi nal 14 games of the regular season and recorded a double-double in nine of those contests. BLOCK PARTY: Jusuf Nurkic blocked at least three shots in seven of the last 13 games of the regular season. Nurkic’s 30 blocks in that span were fourth in the league and he tied for ninth in the NBA with 1.41 blocks per game for the season.

DAME DROPPING 30: Damian Lillard scored 36 points (13-25 FG, 4-10 3-PT, 6-6 FT) against the Jazz on April 11, marking his 100th career 30-point game. It was Lillard’s 25th game of 30-plus points this season, the fi fth-most in the NBA (Davis/James - 30). Lillard led the league in second-half scoring (14.4).

CJ SCORING TWENTY: CJ McCollum scored 20 points against the Griz-zlies on April 1. It was the 47th game of 20-plus points for McCollum this season, the 15th most in the NBA (69, Harden). McCollum scored 20-plus points in fi ve straight games from Jan. 5-12, his second-longest streak of the season (six, Dec. 9-18).

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARDS: Ed Davis notched 10-plus rebounds 20 times this season, which tied the most such games Davis has had in a season in his career (2014-15). No other reserve in the NBA recorded more than 13 games of double-digit rebounds this season. Davis fi nished fi fth in the NBA in offensive rebound percentage (13.9%).

TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS: After the All-Star break, Portland was third in the league in points allowed (100.8) and ranked 16th in the league in scoring (107.1). Portland’s point differential of 6.3 in that span was the fourth-best in the league.

THIRTEEN IN A ROW: The Trail Blazers won 13 straight games from Feb. 14 to March 18, matching the second-longest winning streak in franchise history. The streak included two wins over the defending-champion Warriors as well as victories over division rivals Utah, Min-nesota and Oklahoma City. It was Portland’s longest winning streak since winning 13 straight from Dec. 3 - 30, 2007.

EASTERN SUCCESS: Portland’s game against Boston on March 23 was its fi nal regular season game against an Eastern Conference opponent. The Trail Blazers were 18-12 against teams from the East this season, securing their best out-of-conference record since the 2014-15 season (20-10).

WESTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

THREE TIMES OVER: Damian Lillard was named the Western Conference Player of the Week three times this season. Lillard and James Harden (fi ve times) were the only players to receive the award more than twice.

JANUARY 22: Damian Lillard was named the NBA Western Confer-ence Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 15 to Jan. 21 after leading the Trail Blazers to a 3-0 record. Lillard averaged 29.3 points (52.7% FG, 52.0% 3-PT, 100% FT), 5.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists for the week.

MARCH 12: Damian Lillard was named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from March 5 to March 11. Lillard led the league in scoring for the week, averaging 34.7 points (45.9% FG, 56.3% 3-PT, 83.9% FT) to go with 3.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists. Lillard also led the league in three-pointers made (18) and was second in free throws (26). It was the fi fth time in his career that Lillard received the award. He joins Clyde Drexler (10), LaMarcus Aldridge (eight) and Brandon Roy (fi ve) as Portland players who have won the award at least fi ve times.

APRIL 2: Damian Lillard was named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from March 26 to April 1. Lil-lard led the league in scoring average for the week, averaging 28.3 points (46.9% FG, 25.9% 3-PT, 94.7% FT) to go with 6.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists. Lillard is one of three players in team history to have earned the honor at least six times.

ROAD WARRIORS: Portland’s 107-103 win over New Orleans on March 27 was the team’s seventh straight road win. The streak tied the third-longest road winning streak in team history, and is the longest since Portland won seven straight from Nov. 12 - Dec. 9, 2014. The Trail Blazers had a winning road record for the fi rst time since the 2013-14 season (23-18).

STREAK AT THE STRIPE: Damian Lillard made 64 consecutive free throws over nine games from March 12-30, marking the most con-secutive free throws made in franchise history (Stoudamire, 57 - Jan. 14 - Feb. 16, 2005). It was the most consecutive free throws made in the NBA since Dirk Nowitzki made 74 (March, 2011).

DOUBLE-DOUBLE DAME: Damian Lillard had a double-double of 17 points and 11 assists against the Clippers on March 31. It was his 10th double-double of the season. Lillard recorded a double-double while scoring 30-plus points fi ve times this season, the third-most such games by any guard in the league.

CHIEF IN CHARGE: Al-Farouq Aminu had 17 points (7-9 FG, 2-4 3-PT, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds and one steal against the Grizzlies on April 1. It was Aminu’s ninth double-double of the season, which tied the second-most he has had in a season in his career (10, 2012-13). In the 11 games from March 15 to April 3, Aminu averaged 12.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.10 steals.

DOING IT ALL: Damian Lillard is the fi rst player in franchise history to average at least 26 points, four rebounds and six assists over the course of a season. He was one of just four players in the NBA to achieve the feat this season (Curry, Harden, James). Lillard is one of seven players in NBA history to average at least 25 points and six assists twice in his fi rst six seasons (Robertson/James/Archibald/Wade/Harden/Jordan).

THREE-JAY MCCOLLUM: CJ McCollum shot 39.7% from the three-point line this season, tied for the 33rd-best mark in the league. McCollum (189 3-PT made) fi nished 15th in the NBA in 3-pointers made and knocked down at least three 3-PT shots in 34 games, the 16th-most in the NBA (Harden - 54).

MOE BUCKETS: Maurice Harkless scored 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3-PT) against Oklahoma City on March 25. It was the fi fth time in six games that Harkless scored in double fi gures. In the six games from March 15 to March 25, Harkless averaged 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 66.0% from the fi eld and 61.9% from the three-point line.

MOVING UP: The Trail Blazers victory over the Clippers on March 18th was the 267th win for Terry Stotts as head coach of the Trail Blazers. With the win, he passed Nate McMillan for third place on Portland’s all-time coaching wins list.

SELECT COMPANY: With nine assists against Cleveland on March 15, Damian Lillard joined LeBron James and Oscar Robertson as the only players in NBA history to record at least 1,500 points and 400 assists in each of their fi rst six seasons.

MARATHON MEN: CJ McCollum ran 2.70 miles per game this season, the most by any player in the NBA. Damian Lillard was eighth, running 2.54 miles per game. The Trail Blazers are the only team in the NBA that had two players in the top-10.

VOLUME AND ACCURACY: Damian Lillard shot 493-of-538 from the free-throw line this season (91.6%). It was the second most accurate free throw percentage by a player who made at least 490 free throws in leage history (Reggie Miller, 551-600, 91.8%).

COACH OF THE MONTH: Terry Stotts was named NBA Western Confer-ence Coach of the month for January after leading the Trail Blazers to an 11-5 record, including a perfect 7-0 mark at home. It is the fi fth time Stotts has won the award, the most in franchise history. He is the only Western Conference coach to have won the award in each of the past fi ve seasons.

1,500 POINTS: With 39 points against the Lakers on March 5, Damian Lillard passed 1,500 points for the sixth straight season. He is one of 13 players all-time and one of four active players to score 1,500 points in each of their fi rst six seasons (Anthony, Durant, James). Lillard is tied with Clyde Drexler for the most seasons with 1,500 points as a Trail Blazer. His 1,962 points this season are tied for the eighth-most in team history.

FIFTY-POINT PERFORMANCES

CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard are the only set of teammates to have both scored at least 50 points in a game in the NBA this season. They became the second and third players in NBA his-tory to score 50-plus points in fewer than 30 minutes.

CJ FIVE-O: With 50 points (18-25 FG, 6-9 3-PT, 8-8 FT) against the Bulls on Jan. 31, CJ McCollum became the seventh player in franchise history to record a 50-point game and set new career highs in points and fi eld goals made. McCollum accomplished the feat in just 29 minutes, making him the second player in NBA history to score at least 50 points in fewer than 30 minutes. McCollum is the only player in franchise history to score 50 points on 25 shots or fewer.

HISTORIC QUARTER: CJ McCollum set franchise records for points in a quarter and fi eld goals in a quarter with 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting (4-5 3-PT, 2-2 FT) in the fi rst period against Chicago on Jan. 31. It was most points scored in a quarter by an NBA player this season.

FIFTY IN THREE: Damian Lillard scored 50 points (16-26 FG, 8-13 3-PT, 10-10 FT) in 29 minutes at Sacramento on Feb. 9, becoming the third player in NBA history to score 50-plus points in less than 30 minutes (McCollum/K. Thompson). It was the fourth time in his career that Lillard scored 50-plus points, the most in franchise history and tied for the sixth-most among active NBA players.

LILLARD FROM THE ARC: Damian Lillard made a three-pointer in 52 straight games from Nov. 10 to March 18, setting a new franchise record (44 - Batum, 3/14/13 - 1/2/14). Lillard made 227 three-pointers this season, tied for the sixth-most in the NBA and two shy of his own franchise record (229, 2015-16).

BIG TEN: Damian Lillard scored a total of 354 points in the 10 games from Feb. 9 to March 6, representing the highest-scoring ten-game span in team history. Clyde Drexler previously held the record, having scored 329 points from Dec. 16, 1988 to Jan. 7, 1989.

THE SHABAZZ SHOW: Shabazz Napier scored 13 points (4-5 FG, 4-4 3-PT, 1-2 FT) against Dallas on April 3. It was the 28th game this season that Napier scored in double fi gures. Napier scored in double fi gures in 23 games total during his fi rst three NBA seasons.

YOUNG SUCCESS: With an average age of 25.1 years old as of April 12, the Trail Blazers have the second-youngest roster in the NBA (Phoenix - 24.9). Portland is the youngest team in the 2018 Playoffs.

FEBRUARY TO REMEMBER: Damian Lillard averaged 31.4 ppg in the month of February, marking the highest scoring average for any month in team history (minimum 10 games). Geoff Petrie previously held the record, having averaged 30.4 ppg in March, 1971.

10,000 POINTS: With a driving lay-up at the 0:47 mark of the fi rst quarter at Toronto on Feb. 2, Damian Lillard reached 10,000 points for his career. Lillard reached the milestone in 441 career games, which is faster than any of the previous six players to score 10,000 points in Portland (500, Drexler). Lillard is one of eight NBA play-ers all-time with 10,000 points and 2,500 assists in their fi rst six seasons (James/Jordan/Bird/Archibald/Maravich/Bing/Robertson).

CLIMBING THE LADDER: With 37 points against the Knicks on March 6, Damian Lillard passed Cliff Robinson for fourth on the all-time franchise scoring list.

STRONG START: Jusuf Nurkic had a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds) in the fi rst half against the Pacers on Jan. 18. It was the fi rst time in his career that Nurkic has had a double-double by halftime. Nurkic fi nished the game with 19 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and two blocks. He is one of seven NBA players to record those numbers in a game this season.

HARK BEYOND THE ARC: Maurice Harkless made a career-high fi ve three-pointers (of fi ve) on his way to 19 points at Boston on Feb. 4. Harkless is the fourth player in franchise history to come off the bench and make at least fi ve three pointers while shooting 100% from the three-point line.

THREE-TIME ALL-STAR: Playing in the third All-Star Game of his career on Feb. 18, Damian Lillard tied for the Team Stephen lead in scoring with 21 points (9-14 FG, 3-8 3-PT) to go with three rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes.

TWO OF A KIND: Damian Lillard had 44 points, three rebounds and eight assists against the Warriors on Feb. 14, while CJ McCollum added 29 points, fi ve rebounds and two assists. Lillard and McCollum are two of the 11 NBA guards who averaged 21+ points, 3+ rebounds and 3+ assists this season. The Trail Blazers are the only team in the league with two players on that list.

STOTTS WINS 250: Portland’s 107-93 victory over Dallas on Jan. 26 was the 250th win for Terry Stotts as head coach of the Trail Blazers. Stotts is the fourth coach in franchise history to win 250 games, and one of seven head coaches in the NBA to have won 250-plus games with their current team.

PHYS ED: Ed Davis followed up back-to-back double-doubles, includ-ing season highs of 15 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks against the Mavericks on Jan. 26, with 14 points and nine rebounds against the Clippers on Jan. 30. In the fi ve games from Jan. 20 to Jan. 30, Davis averaged 11.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.60 blocks.

AL-FAROUQ ON FIRE: Al-Farouq Aminu scored a season-high 24 points while shooting fi ve-of-seven from the three-point line at Chicago on Jan. 1. It was the fi fth time this season that Aminu has made fi ve three-pointers in a game, a feat he had accomplished just twice before this season. Aminu shot a career-best 36.9% from the three-point line this season.

THREE KINGS: With two three-pointers against the Timberwolves on Jan. 14, Damian Lillard became the second player in NBA history to make 100-plus three-pointers in each of their fi rst six seasons. Lillard (227 3-PT made) and CJ McCollum (189 3-PT made) were the third set of teammates to each make 180-plus three pointers this season (Curry/Thompson, Harden/Gordon).

NURK’S NIGHT: Jusuf Nurkic had 29 points (12-19 FG, 5-10 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists and four blocks against the Nets on Nov. 24. Nurkic is the fi rst player in Trail Blazers history to record that stat line in a non-overtime game.

‘BAZZ BALLING: In the eight games from Nov. 7 to Nov. 22, Shabazz Napier averaged 11.9 points (54.8% FG, 64.7% 3-PT, 80.0% FT), 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.30 steals. Playing against the Magic on Nov. 15, Napier became the third player in Trail Blazers history to make at least fi ve 3-pointers off the bench while shooting 100% from deep (Wright, Crabbe).

MAKING HISTORY: With a 124-76 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 18, the Trail Blazers set the NBA record for the largest margin of victory in a season-opening game, besting Denver’s 46-point margin over the LA Clippers on Nov. 6, 1987. The 48-point win is tied for the second-largest margin of victory in franchise history (50, vs. Cleveland 11/21/82).
