Objectives

• 1. Participants will understand that we are created on this earth to lead.

• 2. Participants will evaluate their lives and make appropriate changes in terms of their purpose and passion.


Passage to memorizePsalm 86: 9-12

Teach me your way O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart,

that I may fear your name. I will praise you o Lord my God with all my heart; I will glorify

your name forever.


You and I were born to lead


Being made in God’s image means we were created to lead

Genesis 1: 26. Let us make man in Our

Image.


God commanded both male and female to have dominion

Gen. 1: 27 Leadership is not gender specific.


We are to rule over the earth, but not necessarily over each

other. Gen.1: 28


All of us are to serve one another in the areas of our gifting and

purpose. Gen. 1 29,30


God created everything for a purpose. Our general purpose

is to lead, but each of us should ask God,

“Lord, what’s my specific purpose?”


Each person’s leadership is best exercised in his or her

area of giftedness. Gen 1: 31


When we discover our gifts, we will naturally lead in those areas we are most productive,

intuitive, comfortable, influential and satisfied.


Purpose and passion

• When leaders project passion for their vision, they create an atmosphere of expectancy among the people.

• Deut. 4: 32-40. Moses created a sense of destiny, (God’s call on Israel, a future they were destined to fulfil).

• Deut. 4: 32-40. Moses convinced the people they would enter the land together; cooperatively they could accomplish the vision.

• Moses called the Israelites to do what ever it took to enter the land.


Prayer Focus• Father, In the name of Jesus, I

surrender myself to walk in the Word. Your word living in me produces the Life in this world.

• The word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. It makes my way plain before me.

• I boldly and confidently say that my heart is fixed and established on the solid foundation – the Living Word of God! Amen
