NO MAN DOWN TOURNAMENTS HAVE RAISED OVER $200,000.00
Where Does the Money Go?
Building for America’s Bravest
This year, as last, all proceeds will be donated to help pay the cost of building a Smart Home for Corporal Christopher Levi. The NMD committee has an agreement with the Steven Siller Tunnel-to-Towers Foundation to send 100% of our collective donations and product sales to a program it started known as: Building for America’s Bravest (BFAB).
BFAB builds mortgage-free Smart Homes for our most catastrophically injured service members. Each home is custom designed to address the unique needs of each individual. Smart Homes host a myriad of features such as automated doors and lighting, wider halls and doorways, special showers to accommodate wheelchairs, automatic door openers, cabinets, counters, and stove tops that can be raised and lowered, back-up generators, and central heating and air conditioning systems that can be controlled by tablets. Smart Homes enable our most severely injured heroes live better, more independent lives.
The cost of installing adaptive home technology is far beyond the reach of veterans and their modest pensions. The waiting list is long – for every home BFAB builds, another three veterans join the list.
When the call came, these brave service members answered. Now, it’s our turn to recognize their sacrifice to our country. With your help, No Man Down and BFAB will continue to build specially adapted Smart Homes for wounded American Heros, to help them live independently.

Renderings of the Smart Home to be built for Corporal Levi. Ground breaking took place on October 23, 2017.
US Army Corporal Christopher LeviOn March 17, 2008, CPL Christopher Levi was severely injured in Iraq when his Humvee hit an improvised exploding device. CPL Levi was in the middle vehicle of a five-vehicle convoy. The blast cut through both of Levi’s legs at mid-thigh, leaving him a bilateral amputee. He also suffered significant damage to his right hand and arm. Prior to his deployment to Iraq, CPL Levi, who was certified as an Army Ranger, served in Afghanistan.
CPL Levi spent two and a half years in the hospital. His perseverance has been remarkable. In addition to passing the Series 7 General Securities Representative Exam and pursuing his bachelor’s degree, CPL Levi volunteers and leads groups for The Center for Discovery, a national specialty center for the advanced care and treatment of children and adults with significant disabilities, and is a team leader and participant of World T.E.A.M. Sports’ annual Face of America ride. A Smart Home will be built on Long Island for Corporal Levi.

The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers FoundationThe Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001.
On September 11, 2001, Stephen had just gotten off the late shift at Squad 1, Park Slope, Brooklyn. He was on his way to play golf with his brothers when his scanner told of the first plane hitting the Twin Towers. When he heard the news, Stephen called his wife Sally and asked her to tell his brothers he would catch up with them later, and then returned to Squad 1 to get his gear.
Stephen drove his truck to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, but it was already closed. So he strapped 60 pounds of gear on his back, rushed on foot through gridlocked traffic and ran from the Tunnel to the Towers where he gave up his life while saving others.

Welcome Parents, Coaches, Referees, Volunteers, and Players to the 2017 Fall Lacrosse Classic. Thank you for your participation and support of wounded US Veterans.
The Tournament’s success would not be possible without generous contributions from our sponsors, many local businesses and families. All of the food and merchandise is donated. The No Man Down Committee Members pay all other expenses – so 100% of sales and other donations go directly toward building a Smart Home for Corporal Levi. Be sure to read his story on page 7.
