Well this will be the second to last newsletter of theyear. I am hoping to see all of you tonight at our

community meeting, where we have some excitingnews about the school structure to share with you.The meeting is a chance to directly communicate toyou the parents our intentions and plans for 2016.

Communication has been an issue raised by someparents this year. The school cell-phone has beenreplaced and will be a direct line of communicationto myself. The number is the same. 021 026 75462

Our main form of communication is the newsletter,

which comes out weekly on a Thursday. I encour-age you to ask your child for it every Thursday sothat you can remain informed on the comings andgoings at the school. We have now found a way toe-mail a pdf version of the newsletter. If this is your

    preference please let me know.

The school Facebook site also has regular updates, but usually about what events have happened (acelebration of learning and experiences). The schoolwebsite (kaihereschool.weebly.com) contains

general information, an online version of the currentnewsletter and also past newsletters. I will also becontinuing to update how you can help at home and

    provide links to helpful resources.

If you have any other ideas about how we canimprove communication and keep in touch pleaselet me know.

I appreciate there are a lot of school things on at themoment (meetings, year 8 dinner, production and

final assembly), and it is a crazy time of year. However, your support at these events is greatlyappreciated.See you tonightTerry

    Torehape

Torehape have been making somepopcorn today. They were all excit-

ed about making it and watching

the popcorn go pop. They made

    some beautiful Christmas decora-

tions out of them to hang up on their

    beautiful Christmas tree. Well, they

ate most of it on the way to theirclassroom.

On Monday, Torehape went to Butter-

fly Creek for the day. Here are some

    stories.

I like the crocodile show. We had to

be quiet because the crocodile had to

concentrate. In the butterfly house a

butterfly landed on my finger. It was

    very hot seeing the butterfly.

By TaylerThe crocodile is big and his name is

Goldie. I love the butterflies because

    there landing everywhere. My favour-

ite part is ice cream. By Abigail

We went to butterfly creek. My favour-

ite butterfly was the blue butterfly.

We did not go through the bug house.I said can we go to the bug house.

Mum said no because she hates bugs.
