The school will be performing a musical production this year calledPirates vs Mermaids. We have purchased a script and music (although Ihave rewritten a lot of the script to include new speaking parts to involvemore students).Whilst most of the senior students have speaking parts, not all children

will. However, we are endeavouring to have ALL children involved (asthe choir, walk on rolls, stage hands etc). If your child has a speaking rolePLEASE encourage them to learn their linespreferably a little eachnight.

The production will be on Tuesday 15th December at 7pm

There will be a full dress rehearsal matinee at 1pm on Tuesday 15thTicket prices will be a gold coin donation on the door on the day.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!We will be needing help with: Costumes and props (pirate and mermaidsno secret there + a parrot Help with scenery painting Help with makeup close to the date of the production

If you can help or want to be involved, please let me knowRegards Terry

    Torehape have been writing about

    birds because Teigan found an

egg also Teigan found a dead

mother bird. This is Ryan's story :

The Mother bird went to a meet-ing. It was finished then she want

back home. She was half wayhome and she laid a egg and she

didnt know that father bird was

focused on the other eggs. Fatherbird said mother bird have you

laid the other egg yet? Mother bird

said no. She tried and tried andtried to get it out but it would not

get out. Mother bird said I cant

    get it out the end.

    Every Thursday Mrs Voss has

been teaching in Ngarua . They

    have been learning about simple

    machines.

Lydia's explanation about thewedge: The wedge is one of the

greatest simple machine, the wedgeis used for splitting things the

wedge is to inclined planes put to-

gether in a V shape , the wedge isat the tip of the V.

Today Mr Casey took Ngarua overto his house and we saw Noah lift

Mr Casey a foot off the ground

with 1 hand! How did he do it? He

used a lever and a pivot.

The kids have also been having fun

using the computers too learnabout how simple machines (like

the wedge, wheel & axle, inclinedplane, screw, lever) work
