The switch to semesters is going to be quite an adjustment that our newest Leadership Team will guide us through, with the help of the last few teams planning the route to a successful switch. We kicked off the quarter with a retreat on the lake, just like last year! Immediately upon our return, Spring Recruitment began. Recruitment style was semiformal due to a lack of enrollment of women for the formal process. Due to two Panhellenicwide unsuccessful spring Formal Recruitments, fall will be switched back to the formal process. We have 8 lovely new ladies in our Delta Tau pledge class: Kelsey Rowley, Jenn Boc, Tory Rice, Mikah Chavez, Kelsei Morlang, Kelsey Pratt, Meg Wells, and Erin Podhaisky. This brings us to a total of 60 sisters. In the next two months we have a jampacked schedule. The weekend of April 13 th we have a new philanthropy event that is being cohosted with Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) called Dodge the Police. The event is a tournament style dodge ball played against the Rochester community’s police departments. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the National MS Society. The Next day we are helping the RIT UNICEF group on campus with their Tap Water Project 5k walk/run. The Tap Water Project is a national campaign to provide children around the globe with access to safe and clean drinking water. Later that day the College Panhellenic Council is hosting their annual Sweet Rewards event, during which Panhellenic women and chapters are rewarded for their outstanding achievements in the community. The following Saturday is our annual Spring Weekend event, followed on Sunday by Greek Week. During Greek Week we will be assisting in a BBQ event on Greek Circle.
