How to Use This Document
Whether you’re • a member of an AMD regional marketing team,
• an AMD OEM marketing professional • an AMD AIB partner, or Marketing professional who develops packaging materials for AMD
Graphics Processors, this brief will help you understand AMD guidelines for required visuals, logo usage and placement etc.
Within these pages, you’ll find packaging guidelines, including proper placement/use of AMD brand and technology logos, as well as an approved packaging framework you may use for use in creation of your
AMD Radeon™ GPU packaging. Please follow these guidelines to help create your own product packaging, and help ensure that your
creation remains clear and consistent — regardless of your market and/or region.
NDA/Embargo Lift: Please refer to AMD Radeon™ HD 7970 Graphics embargo guidelines for details.

Product Family Branding
Code Name
Brand Name
“Tahiti XT”
AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 Series
AMD Radeon™ HD 7970
Please note the naming scheme for the AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 Series GPUs.
We do not use suffix modifiers e.g. XT, PRO, GT, and have moved to a numbering sequence that makes it easy for consumers to identify products and their general ranking of performance.
Typically, the highest performing product in a family has a ―‖70‖ in the number and the midrange uses ―‖50‖. If an entry level part exists, it will have a ―‖30‖.
In order to better enable our customers to market and sell our products, we have developed a new format for product line
listings to call attention to key features that give our products a competitive advantage. This is to be used for any product listings, including e-tail, price lists and product catalogues.
The AMD Radeon™ HD 7XXX GPUs offer support for AMD Eyefinity technology, DirectX® 11 and AMD App Acceleration and we
want to communicate and highlight these very important advantages at every opportunity
