Evaluation:
Conventional rock magazine: ‘Kerrang!’
Main image is a studio shot with the subject dressed in dark colours, looking fairly solemn
Typography of title is bold and rugged and has a unisex appeal, perhaps leaning towards being slightly masculine.
Large usage of exclamation marks.
Predominant use of Caucasian models again, dressed in dark colours and posing in either a serious or aggressive manor.
A busy layout with numerous images and a variety of text.
A colour scheme which focuses on two main colours with two other colours for detail. Fonts are also restricted to approximately three styles
Use of shapes andadditional layers.
A bold look overall which is quirky but laid back and fairly chaotic
My rock magazine - Using conventions:
Using predominantly Caucasian models
Sticking to two main colours for the colour scheme with two other colors for details. Is also limited to 3 fonts.

My double page spread/main article:
• Similarities to a conventional rock magazine: • Written in prose• Use of sophisticated language• Floating quotes• Muted colour scheme• Location shot as main image• Use of quotations from artists • Moody pose from artists• Use of hyperbole • Use of puns/humor • Use of a black and white main image
My double page spread/main article:
• Differences to a conventional rock magazine:
• Simple layout as oppose to busy layout• Use of only one image
