GROWING THROUGH PRAYER  If there's one thing the Lord has taught us since joining staff, it is about the power and necessity of prayer. The ministry of Gospel for Asia was begun in prayer. It is sustained by prayer. And, it will die without prayer. The ministry began as a prayer meeting on Tuesday nights where Brother K.P. and his family would gather to intercede for the lost world. The staff continues to gather every Tuesday night to pray; entire families join together to learn about what God's doing in Asia and to intercede. The staff gather every Monday, Thursday, and Friday morning to pray before the office officially opens. Almost every meeting we've ever been in—no matter how small—or informal starts with an earnest time of praying and asking God to lead. This emphasis on prayer within the ministry has trickled down into our home. It's not uncommon to hear our kids praying for one another. They are also quick to pray when they hear someone is sick or that something bad has happene d. They are still typical y oung children, but we have been amazed at how they have grown in prayer just by being in an environment where prayer is so emphasized. It is with that new appreciation and reliance on prayer that we are sending you this update full of prayer requests. In each section you will find a little update and specific requests for that aspect of our lives. We appreciate your prayers on our behalf! And, we would love to be praying for you and your needs. GROWING THROUGH PRAYER

If there's one thing the Lord has taught us since joining staff, it is

about the power and necessity of prayer. The ministry of

Gospel for Asia was begun in prayer. It is sustained by prayer.

And, it will die without prayer. The ministry began as a prayer

meeting on Tuesday nights where Brother K.P. and his family

would gather to intercede for the lost world. The staff continues to

gather every Tuesday night to pray; entire families join together to

learn about what God's doing in Asia and to intercede. The staff

gather every Monday, Thursday, and Friday morning to pray before the

office officially opens. Almost every meeting we've ever been in—no

matter how small—or informal starts with an earnest time of praying

and asking God to lead.

This emphasis on prayer within the ministry has trickled down into

our home. It's not uncommon to hear our kids praying for one

another. They are also quick to pray when they hear someone is sickor that something bad has happened. They are still typical young

children, but we have been amazed at how they have grown in

prayer just by being in an environment where prayer is so

emphasized.

It is with that new appreciation and reliance on prayer that we are

sending you this update full of prayer requests. In each section you

will find a little update and specific requests for that aspect of our

lives. We appreciate your prayers on our behalf! And, we would love

to be praying for you and your needs. Please send us a note or email

and let us know how we can lift you up before the Father.

It's back-to-school time. Rylee is in 1st grade and the twins are in

their final year at our church’s preschool. We're all ready for the

routine and growth that comes with a new school year.

Megan's tummy continues to get bigger as the baby

grows. We are looking forward to "seeing" the baby

through ultrasound later this month.

Prayer Requests:

For our children as they go back to school. That they

would be shining lights for Jesus and that we would be a

blessing to the families that are part of our schools.

For baby #4 to grow strong and healthy and for Megan

to remain healthy.

Provision for an additional vehicle that meets the needs

of our growing family.

The local church was active in sharing the Gospel with the villagers.

Many times, Taksheel, a GFA-supported missionary, along with

believers from the church, would travel house-to-house to tell the

people about Jesus.

One day while sharing the Gospel, Taksheel was threatened by anti-

Christian extremists in his village. They told him to stop sharing the

Gospel and leave the village immediately.

The believers in the local church were afraid because of the threats and lost all courage. They wanted to

leave the village.

However, Taksheel refused to leave knowing it was better to obey God rather than man. The believers

fasted and prayed for three days so they would be encouraged to spread the Gospel no matter what

happened.

Prayer Requests from Taksheel:

For his congregation that God would fill all of them with a passion to reach out to people in their

village

That the new believers in the faith may continue to stand firm.

That God change the hearts of the anti-Christian group that threatened him.

A  AA  A ROUNDROUNDROUNDROUND TTTTHEHEHEHE OOOOFFICEFFICEFFICEFFICEMegan continues to serve in the Missions department, learning new things each week. Her favorite part

is helping with the correspondence to and from Bridge of Hope children. We clearly saw how impacting

the BOH program is in the lives of the children when we went to India last year.

Along with serving in Missions, Megan has been asked to help develop a new campaign for sharing the

ministry with women's groups. The message will focus on the plight of women in Asia and ask women

here in the West to link their lives with a female missionary serving on the field. A team of ladies in the

GFA office are working to research and develop the program, which we hope to have ready

in the near future.

In addition to these ministry-specific tasks, Megan has

been asked to speak to a local MOPS group and will be

speaking at our church's women's retreat in early

November. She is excited about these opportunities and

would appreciate your prayers!

Joel continues to grow and be challenged as he leads the

Web Marketing Team. He is learning more about the use of

the web as a tool to share about the ministry than he ever

imagined.

His team is putting together a Christmas related program

that will help share the tremendous need of the Dalits or

Untouchables.

Prayer Requests: For Megan to manage her time wisely and be diligent in each task. That she would be a blessing in

each area where she serves.

For wisdom in the development of this new campaign and open doors to share it with many women.

That Megan would hear clearly from the Lord about what to share at each speaking opportunity.

For Joel in leadership, time management, and creativity.

Our Forgotten Christmas campaign. That it would be well received and a lot of churches and

individuals would be challenged by its message.
