Peter also makes our dry cured bacon, which we delicately smoke over oak; it’s the perfect way to finish our ultimate cheese and bacon burger.

We also make our own spice rubs and sauces for all our dishes from scratch for an authentic, unique flavour that you can’t get

anywhere else!

Last, but not least, our bread comes courtesy of Geordie Bakers. Hand made every morning, it’s the perfect carrier for our 14 hour smoked

pulled pork. You can be sure that any dish you pick will have been made with love, care and attention ready for you to devour!

BREWERYThe Hop and Cleaver brewery is a little, hand-made, 2.5 brewers

barrel brewery. That’s 720 pints to you and me! It doesn’t make

big scale, mass market beers, it doesn’t make large scale, touch

a button, craft beer in a £2 million start up.

What it does make is very small scale, hand-made and truly artisanal

craft beers. Forged from a love of good beer by Tony, Kay and the team, we

only use the best and fresh whole cone hops from around the world alongside

the finest British malts, the odd foraged ingredient and a boat

load of passion.

We are sure that you won’t get our beer anywhere else, you may

not get the same one the next time you come in, but what we do

hope is that you really enjoy it. We have worked really hard to brew it

and we will continue to make the best beer we can.
