GROUP SIZEIn most cases, our small group tours will operate with a minimum of 4 and maximum of 16 passengers.

VISA REQUIREMENTAn entry visa is required for all foreigners wishing to visit all countries being offered in this brochure. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months prior to travel.

Vietnam & Cambodia Visas are valid from the date of entry for up to 30 days. Myanmar Visa is valid 60 days from the date of issue and allow you to stay in the country for up to 30 days.

Thailand Tourist visa valid for 1 month is issued on arrival in Thailand International Airport. Your pass-port has to be valid for at least 6 months.

India Visas must be applied online and lodged by applicant to the nearest VFS office in person. Visa is valid for 6 months from the date of issue and allow up to 6 months stay in India.

MONEY & EXCHANGEYou are advised to carry a mix of cash as well as debit/credit cards. AUD can be exchanged at hotels and airports provided notes are new and undamaged. For up to date exchange rate please visit www.xe.com.

Vietnamese Dong (VND) is used throughout Vietnam. The exchange rate is approximately 1AUD = 17,000 VND

Myanmar’s curreny is Kyat (MMK) (pronounced Chat). Exchange rate is approximately 1AUD = 991 MMK (approx.). Visitors are reccomended to bring US dollars in cash only (clean, undamaged notes issued after 2006). Larger notes will receive better in exchange.

Thai’s currency is Baht (THB) at an exchange rate of 1AUD = 26 BTH (approx.). American Express, Diner Club, Master Card and Visa credit cards are generally accepted but not universially.

US Dollars are easily exchanged throughout India. . Extra care is needed when exchanging money outside of Delhi and main cities. 1AUD = 17 INR (Rupee) (approx.)

TRAVEL INSURANCEIt is compulsory to buy comprehensive travel insurance before your trip, whether through Queen Tours or your own arrangement. It is recommended all travellers take a copy of their travel insurance documents (especially relevant international contact numbers) with them whilst on tour. WEATHERMost of Southeast Asia have two distinctive seasons being wet and dry. The weather is warm all year round for the fact that they are close to the Equator. Traveling to these regions of the globe will be an enjoyable experience with sunny weather. Get yourself protected from the sun is reccomended.

CLOTHINGUnless you have a need for formal or dressy clothes, jeans, slacks, shorts, shirts, blouses and T-shirts will do fine. A comfortable pair of walking shoes is a must. You will be doing a great deal of walking both in the rural and urban areas. Bring a swimming suit if you wish to swim. Many hotels have a swimming pool. Sun block, sunglasses and a light hat are also suggested items.

FOODIt is reccommended that tap water is not used for drinking in Asia to avoid from catching unecessary health issue ensurinng a pleasant trip. This is due to the significant vary in water quality from country to country. Rice is common in most Asian cuisines. While curry is a popular dish in Thailand and India, travellers can expect to see fish sauce and/or soy sauce in their meals throughpout the trip.

DAY 01: AUSTRALIA – HANOIDepart Australia to Hanoi. On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 02: HANOI (B.L.D)Today visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Compound viewed from the outside, Ethnic Minority Museum, and Hanoi Hilton Prison, the Restored Sword Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, Old Quarters and enjoy a traditional water puppet show this evening.

DAY 03: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B.L.D)Today, travel by road to Halong Bay, the World Heritage site with more than 3000 islands in fantastic shapes. Over-night on junk boat.

DAY 04: HALONG BAY – HANOI – HUE (B.L.D)Next morning enjoy the view of the bay. After brunch, dis-embark the boat and transfer back to Hanoi for the flight to Hue. Visit Dong Trieu Pottery village on the way. Arrive Hue city, meet your local guide and transfer to hotel. Over-night in Hue.

DAY 05: HUE CITYTOUR (B.L.D)Breakfast at the hotel. We then take a boat ride along the romantic Perfume River and stop at Thien Mu Pagoda to see the 7-storey octagonal tower, an old Austin car, which transported Thich Quang to Saigon in 1963 for his self-im-molation. Then continue to visit Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. After lunch, continue to visit Khai Dinh Tomb.

DAY 06: HUE – DANANG – HOI AN (B.L.D)Today depart Hue to Hoi An by road via Danang (approx 120km). We drive over the mighty Hai Van Pass for whole view of Pacific Ocean and famous Long Co fishing village. Visit the Marble Mountain village on the way to Hoi An.Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 07: HOI AN (B.L)Enjoy a walking tour to explore the ancient town. Visit the former Merchant’s House, the 400 years Old Japanese cov-ered bridge and the colourful market. Afternoon is free.

DAY 08: HOI AN – DANANG – SAIGON (B.L.D)Take a morning flight to Saigon. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral viewed from the outside, the Old Post Office, the former Presidential Palace, War Museum and Ben Thanh Market.

DAY 09: SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA – SAIGON (B.L.D)Today’s tour is the amazing Mekong Delta. Trans-fer to Cai Be and take a motor boat trip on the Mekong River visiting local businesses producing foods such as popcorn and rice paper workshop; bonsai gardens and the bustling floating market on the way. Afternoon drive back to Saigon.

DAY 10: SAIGON – AUSTRALIA (B)Today transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Next day visit the Temple of Litera-ture, the Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple, Ethnic Group Museum, Hoa Lo Prison and Old Quarters. In the evening, dinner and enjoy the beautiful performance of Hanoi’s Water Puppets Show.. (B/L/D for day 2).

DAY 03 - 04: HANOI – HALONG BAY – HANOI – SAPA (B/L/D)Today, travel by road to Halong Bay, the World Heritage site with more than 3000 islands in fantastic shapes. Over-night on junk boat. DAY 05: SAPA – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – GIANG TA CHAI (B/L/D)Trekking to visit some minority villages Lao Chai – TaVan – Giang Ta Chai and experience daily life of H’mong, Zay, Red Dzao minority group and see the different colourful dresses.

DAY 06: SAPA – HANOI (B/L/D)Morning visit Sapa town & take a light trekking visit Cat Cat village of H’mong people. Afternoon drive back to Hanoi.

DAY 07: HANOI – HUE (B/L/D) Morning fly to Hue. Visit Hue Citadel, King Tu Duc Mausole-um. Enjoy traditional music on Perfume River tonight.

DAY 08-09: HUE – DANANG – HOI AN (B/L)Enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, Khai Dinh Tomb. Afternoon drive to Hoi An over the Hai Van Pass. Visit Marble Mountain village before check in to Hoi An Hotel. Next day take a walking tour of the ancient town centre.

DAY 10: HOI AN – DANANG – SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNEL (B/L/D) This morning takes a short flight to Saigon. Upon arrival transfer to Cu Chi Tunnel, the amazing underground tun-nels built by the Viet Cong guerrillas during Vietnam War. Drive back to Saigon in the afternoon.

DAY 11: SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA – SAIGON (B/L/D)Morning departure to Cai Be where you will board your boat to visit the bustling floating mar-ket, popcorn and rice paper workshops, bonsai gardens and stop for lunch on an island. Lunch is served at a local house in Vinh Long Island be-fore driving back to Saigon.

DAY 12: SAIGON – AUSTRALIA (B)This morning takes a visit and photo stop at the Former Presidential Palace. Visit War Remnant Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Thien Hau Temple and China Town. After-noon transfer to the airport for your flight home.

DAY 13: AUSTRALIA ARRIVAL Arrive home in the morning with exciting memories.

DAY 08: INLE LAKE (B/L/D) Amaze yourself with ingenious floating gardens and Nga Hpe Chaung, also known as “Jumping Cat Mon-astery”. Continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary and visit a cheroot, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. The boat trip ends at your hotel, set in a tranquil spot by lake.

DAY 01- 2: AUSTRALIA – YANGONToday depart Australia to Yangon. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to hotel. Day 2 visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, a colossal reclining Buddha; Karaweik HallRoyal barge on the royal KanDawGyi lake with photo opportu-nity; Yangon city center featuring Sule Pagoda, streets of colonial buildings, downtown Chinatown with its distinct streets fruit market and other main boulevards of Yangon downtown. Next, visit the local museum and take an ox cart ride around the old city wall. Later, visit Hmawzar Village to experience the local village life. DAY 05-06: YANGON - BAGAN - MT.POPA – BAGAN (B/L/D)Take morning flight to Bagan. Visit the colorful Nyaung U Market; Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa. Later, visit Htilomnlo and Thatbyinnyu temples. Af-terwards travel to Minnathu Village where you will have a chance to view local village life. Next day, after break-fast at the hotel, visit Mt. Popa (60km southeast of Bagan). At Mt Popa you will climb to the temple located at the top of Taung Kalat. Drive back to Bagan and visit Manu-ha, Nanpaya, Gubyaukgyi and Shwe San Daw temples.

DAY 07-08: BAGAN – PAKOKKU – MONYWA (B/L/D)After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Pakoku, 30km northwest of Bagan (by road).Visit the weaving and Che-root (tobacco) workshops and Monywa. Enjoy the beau-tiful sunset over the Chindwin Riverfrom the river bank. Overnight in Monywa. Next morning, after breakfast at the hotel, explore PhowunTaung Caves system, the cop-per open mines; Mohnyin Than Buddha Pagoda.

DAY 09: MONYWA – AMARAPURA – SAGAING – MANDA-LAY (B/L/D) After breakfast at the hotel, road journey to Mandalay, en route visit Kaungmutaw Pagoda and YwadaungVil-lage;Sagaing Hill; Amarapura to visit Mahagandayon Monastery, housing over thousands of monks; enjoy the sunset over the U Bein bridge built over centuries ago, the longest wooden bridge in Asia. Overnight in Mandalay.

DAY 10: MANDALAY (B/L/D)Transfer to the jetty for a private boat trip to Mingun, a village 11 km upstream from Mandalay by the west bank of the river, where you will visit Mingun Mantara Pagoda. Return To Mandalay and visit the Golden Palace Monastery, and Kuthodaw Pagoda. Enjoy the sunset from the top of Mandalay Hill.

DAY 11: MANDALAY – PINDAYA - KALAW (B/L/D)Take a flight to Heho. Upon arrival you will be trans-ferred to Pindaya and visit the Pindaya Caves, which house thousands of Buddha images. Later drive through the picturesque scenery of Pindaya and winding hilly road to Kalaw, a fresh and delight-ful hill station, on the rim of the Shan plateau, also a market center for ethnic minorities from surrounding regions.Overnight in Kalaw.

DAY 12-13: KALAW – INLE LAKE (B/L/D)Take 4 hour trekking to PeinHne Pin village to experi-ence the village life. Afternoon return to Kalaw. Next day depart for Nyaung Shwe, where Inle Lake is lo-cated, and travel by boat to your hotel. After lunch, take a boat trip along the lake, passing floating vil-lages and stilt houses. DAY 01- 02: AUSTRALIA – BANGKOK Today depart Australia to Bangkok. Upon your arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Next day visit Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, board a long tail boat for a cruise along Chao Phraya River to the Pak Klong Talaat Flower Market and take a walk through Chinatown. (B/L/D - on day 2)

DAY 03-04: BANGKOK – RIVER KWAI - KANCHANABURI (B/L/D)Today visit Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the Railway Track Market. Then visit Wang Po and take a train ride on the Death Railway through the Kwai Noi Gorge to Kanchanaburi. Take a visit to the Bridge over River Kwai, the Allies Cemetery and War Muse-um. Next day visit the Hellfire Pass, a vast embank-ment of stone cut out during World War II by allied Prisoners of War for the Burma railway. Relax at the Saiyoke Noi Waterfall.

DAY 05: KANCHANABURI – AYUTHAYA – SUKHOTHAI (B/L/D)Travel east and discover the ruins of Ayuthaya, once the centre of a far-reaching empire. Depart for Suk-hothai and Lopburi (if time permits) to see its mon-key inhabitants and atmospheric Khmer temple ruins. Continue to Phitsanulok where you will visit a folk mu-seum which houses a fascinating collection of rural exhibits.

DAY 06: SUKHOTHAI (B/L/D)After lunch, join-in with a ceramic painting and cot-ton weaving class, both unique to the region. Enjoy dinner with a sunset dinner within the World Heritage site of Sukhothai surrounded by the ancient ruins.

DAY 07: SUKHOTHAI – LAMPANG (B/L/D) Today enjoy a motorised tram ride around Sukhothai Ruins. Later on, travel to Lampang where you ride on a horse-drawn cart around the Old Town. Visit Phra That Lampang Luang, Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao and local market.

DAY 08: LAMPANG – CHIANG RAI (B/L/D)This morning depart for the Golden Triangle, the point where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar’s borders meet. Afternoon drive to Chiang Rai.

DAY 03: DELHI – JAIPUR (B/L/D)Today’s highlight is touch of spirituality! This enjoyable Yoga class will re-envitalise you for the day ahead! Vis-it the City Palace –the former royal residence built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles which houses a museum with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury of the Mughals and Rajputs.

DAY 04: JAIPUR (B/L/D)See the Amber Fort, ancient capital of the State until 1728 housing Temple of Kali, the Hall of Victory or Jai Mahal and Jagmandir. You can have the unique experience of traveling on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Spend time in crowded lanes & by lanes of pink city, haggling and souvenir-hunting. In the evening we have planned a visit to Chowki Dhani – an ethnical Rajasthani restaurant complex for a local meal and cultural show.

DAY 05: AGRA (B/L/D)A drive to Agra is planned today stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri, 16th century capital of Moghul emperor Akbar and a complex of forts, palaces and mosques built in sandstone.

DAY 06: AGRA/UMARIA (B/L/D)Visit the red sandstone Agra Fort, which stands like a cres-cent on the banks of the Jamuna River enclosed by for-bidding 20-meter high walls, with a 12- meter moat be-tween them. Then proceed for the famous white marble mausoleum Taj Mahal. Later check-out and transfer to the railway station in time to board your train overnight train to Umaria.

DAY 07: UMARIA – BANDHAVGARH (B/L/D)Arrive at the station and drive to Bandhavgarh, a small National Park; compact, yet full of game. In the after-noon proceed for a Safari into the par, with an area of 448 sq. km.

GROUP RESERVATIONS, DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTA completed booking form is required and a deposit of $400 p.p. will be needed. If you book over the phone, deposit and booking form must be received within 7 days of confirmation. Before the due date of balance payment, a second deposit of $1,500 per person may be required if the airline we booked for your tour requests us to issue your air ticket when the ticketing time limit is due. Final payment is payable in full 60 days prior to departure, if booking is made within 60 days, full payment must be made immediately upon confirmation. If for any reason payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and cancellation charges will then be applicable. We accept no responsibility or liability whatsoever in respect of any payment made by you to your travel agent. Payment is regarded as being made only when it is actually received by Queen Tours. We accept credit card payment without surcharge (Visa or Master cards) for deposit only. If you wish to pay your tour cost balance by credit card, a 2% surcharge will apply.

CANCELLATIONIf it is necessary to cancel your holiday, cancellation must be notified in writing to us or to your travel agent as soon as you have to cancel your tour. The day we use to determine on the amount of your cancellation penalty and/or refund is the day when we receive your written cancellation notice. The following cancellation fees shall apply if the client for any reason cancels a holiday tour package.-60 days and over prior to departure, loss of the deposit-Between 41-59 days prior to departure 20% of total price-Between 40–30 days prior to the departure 40% of total price-Between 29–15 days prior to the departure 70% of total price-Between 0-14 days prior to departure, no refund will be made of all tour costs. International airfare cancellation fees Imposed will be subject to airline Tariff Regulations for the international portion of any flight. No refunds are available after commencement of the holiday of unused tickets, vouchers or any other services not utilized.

ITINERRAY AND ACCOMMODATIONOn occasion it may be necessary to amend arrangements due to operational necessity and we reserve the right to do so at any time (i.e. due to airline rescheduling flight departure so they may not suit arrangements on the ground). Most of these changes are very minor but where necessary we undertake to inform you either directly or through your travel agent. If your itinerary needs to be altered for reasons beyond our control we reserve the right to vary your itinerary.

TOUR PRICE AND TAXESPrices in this brochure and website are based on tariffs and rates of exchange at the time of publication and are quoted in Australian Dollars. All prices are subject to currency fluctuation and changes of service provider’s tariffs. Queen Tours will contact our client and/or travel agent to advice of any changes of price. We do not accept responsibility if your travel agent fails to pass price change information on to our clients. We reserve the right to change tour prices at any time. All Small Group Tours (except for Extended Tours and Cruises) in these brochures are inclusive of airfares, airport taxes and current fuel surcharge as indicated in each tour. These taxes and fuel surcharges are subject to change.

HOTEL DESCRIPTIONS MAPS & PICTURESHotel descriptions featured in these brochures are based on current hotel guides provided by suppliers. Anyfacilities described are subject to change any time. Maps and photographs are for general information only and may not necessary reflect actual routings location or services.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTSA passport with minimum of 6 months validity is required for passengers travelling in all countries in our program. Visa fees are included for Australia passport holders in all Small Group Tours. Non Australian passport holders will incur additional fees.

HEALTH REQUIREMENTSIt is the client’s responsibility to avail them with information regarding health requirements in the intended country of entry. You should speak with your doctor or Department of Health about health recommendations.

TRAVEL INSURANCEIt is a condition of joining one of our tours that clients are adequately insured for the full duration of their travel arrangement including cover for illness injury death loss of baggage and personal items cancellation and curtailment.

RESPONSIBILITYQueen Tours acts as a co-ordinator for all persons taking these tours in the making of all arrangements for transportation sightseeing and hotel accommodation. Queen Tours does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle any hotel or restaurant or any other supplier of services. Queen Tours acts only as an agent for the suppliers to the related travel services provided and assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage to baggage or property or for any injury illness or death or for any damages or claims howsoever caused arising directly or indirectly from accidents loss or damage to person or property delays transport failure strikes wars and uprisings or acts of God etc over which Queen Tours has no control.

LAW OF CONTRACTAny contract arising with the client shall be governed by the laws of the state of New South Wales and any legal action arising wherefrom shall be litigated only in the appropriate court having jurisdiction in that state.
