Sacred Heart Girl Scout Troop 2016-2017
Welcome to another amazing year for Sacred Heart Girl Scouts!
Troop Meetings - Girls meet every other Friday after school (3:30 to 5:30 PM) to work on
badges while learning about nature and science, and exploring the arts and their communities
Activities – Camping, Campfires, Outdoor Cooking, Hiking, Ice Staking, Museums, and More!
Activities normally occur on Saturdays.
Troop Levels
Daisy (K-1st Grade) - Girl Scout Daisies meet in a
nurturing, inclusive environment. They go on trips,
learn about nature and science, and explore the arts
and their communities. Girl Scout Daisies can also
earn Learning Petals and receive participation
patches.
Brownie (2nd-3rd Grade) - Girl Scout Brownies work
together in groups, earn Girl Scout Brownie Try-Its,
and explore their community. Friendship, fun, and
age-appropriate activities begin at the Girl Scout
Brownie meeting and move out to the community
and wider world.
Junior (4th-5th Grade) - Girl Scout Juniors earn badges and discover what girl power is all about
through new activities and by learning to take charge of their own plans. They gain self-
confidence as they explore the world in partnership with their sister Girl Scouts and Troop
Leaders.
Cadette (6th-8th Grade) - Girl Scout Cadettes participate in Girl Scouting in many ways. Under
the guidance of a Troop Leader, girls select activities and resources to suit their needs while
giving back to their communities. They build self-esteem and confidence in their skills as they
work on a wide range of projects and gain life experiences.
