The Hacker had access to over 4 million

emails and passwords associated with the

children of these parents. Certain toys

gave the hacker access to photos of the

children as well as their address.

An estimated 15 million T-Mobile customers

were the subject of a breach in credit

agency Experian's security. T-Mobile

customers who had their credit checked

compromised their names, social security

numbers, birth dates, and passport

numbers.

Harvard University was one of quite a

few universities who underwent a

security breach this year. An

undisclosed number of university email

accounts and passwords were

compromised. This year marked an

evident need for heightened cyber

security in the education system.

Premera was one of several cyber security

breaches in the healthcare industry.

Those under Premera healthcare were the

subject of a breach that compromised data

such as names, addresses, social security

numbers, and clinical information.
