MORFI MOLDS Ltd. Quality control department features …

Specialised staff comprising 1 Mechanical EngineerA temperature / humidity controlled room1 TESA MicroHite CMM machineA complete collection of calipers,inside/outside micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges etc.

Over its six years of operation MORFI MOLDS Ltd. has produced

among other things …

Close tolerances and intricate shapes on aluminium

On percipitation hardened stainless steel

On 316 mild stainless steel

On hardened tool steel (up to 62 HRC)

On copper (OFC)

On copper for EDM electrodes

On exotic materials such as beryllium bronze

In 2013 MORFI MOLDS Ltd. proceeded to a strategic cooperation with the

Machine Design Lab. of the NTUA …

… enhancing further its dimensional accuracy capabilities through:

1. Use of a KISTLER dynamometer to calibrate tool loads on the workpiece

2. Use special in-house developed routines on ANSYS Multiphysics to predict and optimise the rigidity of the tool-work-fixer system

3. Optimise tool selection, geometry and cutting conditions4. Measure the resulting shape and individual features of the

workpiece on the spot by the FARO-Arm portable CMM system

Measuring machining tolerances on the spot

… yields supreme versatility, production enhancement and cost savings
