Common Errors

Sage on a stage: The teacher has all the "wisdom" of a sage and tells the students who listen as an audience watching a staged performance.

Bells and Whistles: This is when a lesson incorporates technology, but fails to adequately teach the content of the lesson because there is too much focus on the technology incorporated.

Web 1.0 is fine: Students search and find answers using the internet, but they do not create or collaborate.

Who has the time?: Teachers commonly state that they do not incorporate technology into their classrooms because of lack of time, when they have papers to grade, discipline issues and parents to deal with, as well as daily lesson plans.

Too many obstacles: There may be many percieved obstacles for using technology, but find a way around the obstacle course for the grand prize!
