What kind of decisions do you make at these meetings?

• Amend targets accordingly (evaluation)

• Revise annual work plan and budget after 6 months or one year depending on loan agreement.

• Amendment to MoUs with service providers, extension of contracts etc

• Staff changes where necessary

• Amend activities and interventions according to prevailing circumstances

• Make changes according to findings from project supervision missions

What steps and specific activities for learning and adaptation need to be

carried out for an effective and efficient performance improvement?

• Consultative visits with beneficiaries, farmers, implementers at field level to identify needs and challenges

• Validation workshop at district level, PCU level and steering committee then develop action plans

• Share with stakeholders new approach/orientation, get feedback and ownership, amend accordingly

• Implementation of new approaches and decisions (follow-up actions)

• For new posts that are identified, get approval from steering committee then with IFAD for NO OBJECTION

• For adapting new approaches e.g. through experience from learning route, share new ideas with steering committee, get no objection from IFAD then implement

• For changes to the AWPB, present new activities to steering committee, ask NO from IFAD

components?

• M&E: collects and consolidates data/information and integrates in the AWPB (progress report – physical and financial) and performance report, status reports

– help assess and track progress

– achievement of indicators

– feedback and follow-up

• Communication: internal (reports, meeting minutes, newsletters, publications), External (getting feedback from stakeholders,) success stories,

• Information Management: e-library, archiving system, documentaries

• Beneficiaries (farmers), implementers (front line staff, technical staff + service providers, local authorities, traditional leaders, political leaders at local level), service providers, policy makers (steering level), and the project staff, IFAD
