Holiday Dinner, Ristorante La Piazza, December 2, 2006

We capped our 2006 event schedule by cele-brating the upcoming holiday season in one of the best-kept secrets in Fort Worth. Upscale and elegant, La Piazza is a much-loved restau-rant known for its authentic Italian cuisine, great service and personal touch. Thirty members attended, the men dapper and the women beautiful. World-renowned Fort Worth pianist, Van Cliburn, who was also hav-ing dinner at La Piazza, said the parking lot

looked like a venue for a Mercedes convention. In a sense, it very well did. Restaurateur Vito Ciraci served a terrific and memorable multi-course meal featuring many of the restaurant’s most loved dishes - pastas, soups, salads, veal, salmon, sea bass, desserts - accompanied by very nice wines. After dinner, we had drawings for vari-ous door prizes, including a model car compliments of European Motorcars, Ltd., a mini-detail by Master Europa Paint and Body Shop, and a free dinner at La Piazza. Each door prize was lovingly wrapped by Karen Vaughn. Park Place Fort Worth’s Marc Kraus at-tended our dinner bearing gifts from Park Place Fort Worth’s boutique - Mercedes-Benz caps, jerseys, shirts, vests, sweat shirts - for which we had a second batch of drawings. Every attendee went home with at least one prize. This celebration was a great way for our members to kick off the holiday season.
