FEMALE CHARACTERS IN THRILLERS
In the silence of the lambs, the female character is being portrayed as weaker than the male.
In psycho, the female character is the victim.
Our main character is a girl and she plays the victim, this is stereotypical as women are seen as weak and vulnerable. We mainly did this for the role as we thought the audience would be drawn to a female character more. Though, we
also wanted to have a female being the lead as in thrillers, the protagonist is usually male. The other character in our thrillers gender remains anonymous, the actor was female, but the point was to let the audience question the identity
of the other character.
OUR THRILER
The location of our thriller is a park. One of the reasons we chose this are is because it can appeal to most audiences as
most people would have been to a park so they would be able to relate to the setting.
LOCATION
The character in o thriller is hinted to have mental health issues, mostly all villains in thrillers are portrayed to have something mentally wring with them. E.g. the serial killer
in seven is a sociopath.
In our thriller we also have mental illness portrayed in a negative way to appeal to audiences.
