2013 | Ep. 165 - In Milan!
Special Milan Episode!
English News Weekly… in Milan!
This is the last of our special summer edition of Hiroshima University’s
English News Weekly Podcast. In 2013 ENW travelled three incredibly
interesting European cities - Paris, Edinburgh & Lisbon. This summer, ENW
is on the move again to another 4 European cities. The last city finds ENW
travelling to northern Italy and the major financial city of Milan.
English News Weekly will again be visiting four interesting and unique sites
of Milan, a city that is both historic and modern. We will start with perhaps
the heartbeat of the city’s population – the San Siro Stadium home to Milan’s
two football teams. We then move onto Milan’s historic cathedral before
taking a break in a beautiful park on a gorgeous summer day. ENW ends its
trip with a night at perhaps the most famous operatic theatre in the world –
La Scala.

incredible the building was only completed in 1965 – 579 years after the first
stones were laid! The view from the top is incredibly, especially if you have the
