As the world’s leading engine builder with an annual production capacity of 25 million BHP for marine and stationary use, the Engine & Machinery Division of Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI-EMD) has been the most prolific manufacturer since starting production of low speed diesel engine for the main propulsion system of oceangoing vessels in 1978.
HHI-EMD takes up to 35% of world market share for low speed diesel engines and 20% for medium speed diesel engines in terms of generating output. This proves that the superiority of Hyundai engines has been recognized by customers the world over.
HHI-EMD has contributed to the development of the diesel engine industry through active R&D activities combined with the actual manufacturing diesel engines in large quantities and decided to introduce HiMSEN Engine to the market, the medium speed engine in order to be in the best compliance with the client’s desire.
