Note
Inclination of Nokia Intratalk can be corrected with the levelling screwsfunctioning as cabinet feet.
The base under the cabinet must be made of, or covered with, non-flammablematerial.
3.4 Lifting and mounting
The cabinet should be lifted into position by crane or another mechanical liftingmethod. For this purpose there are four fastening points for M12 lifting eye bolts
on the cabinet top. The lifting eye bolts are an option (LEKA Kit 466289A).
Although the cabinet can be mounted free-standing, bolting to the base isrecommended.
If there is the slightest danger of the cabinet toppling over, as in earthquake areas, the cabinet must be bolted to the base.
The cabinet has six bolting points at the cabinet bottom for anchor bolts. The frontand middle bolting points are accessible through the front door. For access to therear bolting points, the cabinet back panel must be removed.
M10 is recommended anchor bolt size, a suitable anchor bolt is, for example,M10*30P, diameter 16 mm (depth of bolt hole 65 mm). The bolts are supplied bythe customer.

4 Power requirements
The AC power supply must incorporate a readily accessible disconnectdevice for disconnecting the cabinet from the mains AC power supply. All
electrical installations must be carried out according to the national wiringrules and regulations.
The installation input supply wiring must incorporate a fuse or circuitbreaker, rated to suit continuous protection against short circuit.
4.1 Supply voltage
Two power supply options are available, 230 VAC and -48/-60 VDC. The quality
of the supply voltage conforms to the ETSI 300 132 specification.
The maximum cable cross-section that can be connected to the AC terminal block
is 6 mm2. The minimum cable cross-section is 2.5 mm2. Dimension of the cablecross-section must meet the national legislation.
There is one input for DC and two (only one of which is used in the Intratalk BTScabinet) for AC supply on the cabinet top:

type of DC power supply connectors: two plus two 10 ... 16 mm2 terminalblocks
The cables are lead to the terminal blocks through clamps with which they aresecured to the cabinet top to prevent strain in the cables.
Power feed for the Extension cabinet can be arranged through the Basic cabinetusing jumper cables (delivered with the Extension cabinet), or directly to the
Extension cabinet, in which case the customer supplies the cabling.
4.2 Nokia EmPower support cabinets
The Nokia EmPower 1100 and EmPower 1900 indoor cabinets are used with theNokia Talk-family GSM Intratalk base transceiver stations (BTSs). In normaloperation the rectifiers deliver power to the load and simultaneously maintain thebatteries in a fully charged state.
During a mains power failure, the rectifiers are shut down and the batteries deliver
the load power. When the mains input is restored, the rectifiers start upautomatically to deliver the load power and recharge the batteries.
Nokia EmPower indoor cabinets also contain alarm monitoring and remotereporting for system maintenance purposes.
Nokias Power System Management (PSM) is a local and remote managementsystem used with Nokia EmPower support cabinets. All Nokia EmPower 1100and EmPower 1900 indoor cabinets are supplied complete with a Nokia PSMinterface adapter (Q1IA/Q1A) installed (see Section 4.2.3).
4.2.1 Nokia EmPower 1100
The EmPower 1100 indoor cabinets deliver 8.8 kW of steady state power with anoption to upgrade to 17.6 kW with a separate Extension cabinet.
For further details of how the EmPower 1100 operates, refer to theEmPower1100 User Manual, see Reference [4].

4.2.3 Power System Management
Nokias Power System Management (PSM) is a local and remote managementsystem for controlling and managing Nokia Site Support Systems (SiSS) andBattery Back-Up Units (BBUs) that support Nokia Talk-Family BTS.
For further details of how the PSM operates, refer to the PSM User Manual, see
Reference [3].
4.3 Fuses
The recommended external fuse type is SLOW. Fuse ratings based on maximumconfiguration and all options are detailed in Table 8.
Fuse ratings for other configurations may be calculated from the anticipatedpower consumption figures, but it should be noted that if the equipment isupgraded at a later stage, the fuses may have to be changed.
4.4 Earthing
Earthing is carried out according to the local legislation. The cabinets are
provided with a 16 mm2grounding terminal. The Extension cabinet can beearthed through the Basic cabinet. An earthing cable is provided with theExtension cabinet for this purpose.
