DRMKC Joint Training on Disaster Risk Management25-27 Feb 2020 @ Sim Centre, Coventry University

Natural and socio-technological disasters are a major global issue with increasing frequency and intensity. It is crucial to understand the factors to enhance resilience and capacity. Disaster risks could be intervened through effective intervention in physical, technological, social, economic, political phenomenon. Appropriate disaster risk communication is also believed to facilitate professionals and the public to reduce the impact of disasters as actions will be taken to mitigate and prepare for potential risks. The DRMKC Joint Training on Disaster Risk Management aims to provide participants with international, state of art, and evidence based knowledge about disaster risk management. This event is co-organised by Disaster and emergency management courses and the Centre for Global Learning: Education and Attainment.
