Dear Friends,

The Children’s Book Press (CBP) imprint, while still new to LEE & LOW, is

a collection of books that started the multicultural children’s book movement.

Founded by Harriet Roemer in 1975, CBP was groundbreaking in its vision to

publish books by and about people of color. CBP was also a valuable resource

for bilingual books for young readers.

We know many of you have been waiting for a long, long time to see these

titles in print again. Last year, 2012, was a rebuilding year in which we

brought back CBP’s top twenty-five bestselling titles. We have reprinted ten

more titles for 2013. You can see all CBP titles currently in stock on our

website by going through the “Advanced Search” option and selecting the CBP

books only button: http://www.leeandlow.com/search.

Throughout 2013 we will be reintroducing the CBP authors and illustrators

and reposting CBP interviews and activities to our website and blog. Stay in

touch with us through our monthly e-News for updates on the CBP imprint as

it grows. We are thrilled to let the world know that

Children’s Book Press is back!We hope we can count on our loyal supporters to help

spread this outstanding news.

Peace,

Tom Low, Jason Low,

Craig Low, and the rest of

the LEE & LOW staff
