• The harder bit – finding new people– Finding influencers & advocates– Social advertising using LinkedIn & Facebook

#2: Engage with your audience• Build “buzz” before & between events

– Use your existing networks– Create a LinkedIn group– Or build using a platform like Eventbrite

• Make it easy for (potential) attendees to contribute to the buzz, by providing ways for them to share event details

• Gamify your event – allow the social network to comment so they can shape the event.

• Reward participation: it’s easy to incentivise via a Facebook & Twitter competitions
