About “up And outdoor fitness”
In comparison to 30 years ago most of us are in much poorer health which is due to a number of physical, psychological and environmental factors. For example, we are spending far too much time being sedentary, whether it be sitting in the office, commuting to and from work or sat at home watching TV; we just aren’t as active as we should be. In addition, clinical depression is at an all-time high and the way we live in modern day society has a lot to do with that. It’s become more apparent that training on our own doesn’t work for many people as they don’t see the results they want, causing them to look for an alternative. We know that humans are social creatures and with the growth of social media and online technology there is an even greater need for real life interaction. We need physical friendship, camaraderie and team spirit, all of which is good for our mental health. Hosting bootcamp or exercise classes in the great outdoors is one of the most natural ways to train, and allows us to reap the benefits it has to offer, such as being exposed to Vitamin D which has been seen to help boost the immune system and our levels of positivity. But most importantly it is my job to encourage you to get outdoors and move the way our bodies are supposed to and to interact with each other in a group environment. This is why I have created, “Up and Outdoor Fitness”.
Meet the team
Paul Snowsell (Owner and personal trainer)
I believe there’s nothing more natural than training in the great
outdoors and reaping all of the natural resources it has to
offer.
From a young age I’ve always been involved in outdoor team
sports, such as, playing competitive football for over 20 years,
where I learnt that camaraderie and team spirit is incredibly
important for mental wellbeing.
Since joining the fitness industry as a personal trainer in 2005
I’ve been able to understand and learn the most successful
training methods to guarantee results. This includes an
effective exercise and nutritional programme.
I was inspired to make this new training method as fun and
accessible as possible for my clients which they could fit into
their busy schedules.
This is what spurred me on to start “Up and Outdoor Fitness”
my outdoor group training bootcamp classes which guarantee
results whilst enjoying your training.

qualified as a body attack and body combat instructor a few months after. She
taught classes for the following four years after that. Since having children and
being a mum Gils has taken care of her own health and fitness through
regularly participating in fitness classes.
Gills has returned to the fitness industry as part of the “Up and Outdoor
Fitness” team. Her background experience of aerobics, body attack, and body
combat brings a great variation and speciality to what we can offer.

mum of two boys.
What can you expect to achieve?
“Up and Outdoor Fitness” offers a range of bespoke health and fitness services and has a training method that guarantees the following results: LOSE BODY FAT:
HOW? We use a simple training method called HIIT TRAINING, (High intensity interval training) this incorporates intense periods of work with short recovery segments. The magic of HIIT training is that it keeps your body burning fat even after you leave the session. You will also see a change in your body shape when partnering these classes with my nutritional plan.
INCREASE YOUR ENERGY:
HOW? We will train you to resist fatigue; this will give you more energy to cope with the demands of life.
RELIEVE STRESS:
HOW? It’s not always “Go hard or go home”, we incorporate lower intensity aerobic workouts that are proven to release endorphins to make us feel good. This is important if you are looking for long term reduction of stress.
IMPROVE YOUR OVERALL FITNESS:
HOW? HIIT training not only burns fat fast, it is also the quickest way to increase fitness levels. Each HIIT circuit uses a timing system that gets you working right up to the last second and it also times your rest period, this gets you working harder and optimises what you get out of the session. Each week sees a variation of outdoor HIIT circuits: boxercise, body weight circuits and functional equipment circuits. This keeps the sessions fun and varied and is sure to incorporate every component of fitness.
INCREASE YOUR MOBILITY:
HOW? Each session incorporates functional body weight movements and flexibility stretches. Consistent repetition of these movements and stretches sees progression in the muscles ability to move more freely.
If you fail to see results after 12 weeks with us, you will get your money back!
Who is it suitable for?
If you enjoy training in an outdoor group environment and you want to achieve sustainable life changing results then you will love these bootcamp classes. Sessions have been tailored for a range of fitness levels and abilities so there will be exercise alternatives and progressions to suit each individual. Where are the classes held?
These outdoor fitness classes are held at Jubilee Fields, Billinghurst West Sussex, RH14 9HZ.
Classes are run all year round. In the summer they are held on the field.
In the winter they are held on a sectioned off area in the car park, which is fully flood lit.

way to train. It is a great way to
relieve stress and increase your
overall fitness.

periods of work with short recovery
segments. The magic of HIIT training
is that it keeps your body burning fat
even after you leave the session.
These body weight circuits are a great
way to improve your fitness quick.
Functional equipment circuits
Full body cardio blitz
Core circuits
Using functional equipment such as kettlebells, speed ladders, sand bags, battleropes,
resistance bands and steps make training challenging and fun. Using functional
equipment encourages us to activate the core more and unlike when training on gym
equipment we are using more natural movements.
Fitness coach Gillian will teach Full
body cardio blitz. This outdoor
aerobics class will have you
burning over 500 calories per
session and will incorporate a
mixture of body weight exercises
and functional movements.
A strong and stable core is the foundations
to a healthy functioning body and will
reduce your risk of muscular pain and
injury. Core exercises will be included in
every session.
