“They are Youth and adults with
lack of training, who doesn’t
really know what to do or where
to go. They received this project
that helped them to gain
knowledge and experience in a
multicultural environment…."
Clotaire NTIENOU
Coordinator
WEBDEV FOUNDATION
After the success of “summer 2011” and it’s impact in
Bangoua, we embarked on the challenge of ‘summer 2012’.
This year our plan was to deliver the project in Bangoua and in
two other villages however unfortunately one of the villages
didn’t meet our criteria and we were obliged to cancel the
proposed travel to this village one month before we began
‘summer 2012’. Regardless our team believes that the 2012
project was a great success and had a large impact on the
people life in Bangoua and Babouantou during the seven
weeks project.
Our project helps people of all ages children, young
adults and adults who lack education and training. We aim to
give them the opportunity to help them to gain vital
knowledge and experience in a multicultural environment…
This Project was successful because of the strong and
sustainable partnerships we have built with these
communities. Despite the low attendance we are pleased that
our participants had a high level of satisfaction with the
program and we now have the opportunity to improve and
grow our program as we look forward to another challenge in
2013. We look forward to include many national and
international volunteers for the project in 2013.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank
Participants in the two villages without whom, we would never
be able to deliver our project. We also thank Mr Tchiengue
Simeon, Dr Sado, Mr. Patrice, Mr Ouanji Luc, Dr Henang,
Headmaster of Collège Evangelique de Bangoua, the King of
Babouantou (His majesty Kaleuk Mongoue Pierre), Mtre
Ouapi Zacharie, the Priest of Catholic Church, The Pastor of
Protestant Church, The Chief Medical Doctor (Maman Annick)
and all the Elites of Babouantou with the coordination of
Mtre Ouapi who supported us to well deliver the project.

There is always discrepancies between our original goals and what we achieve because of the many challenges involved when working with people in West Africa. For example we planned to raise money to buy and distribute mosquito nets to villagers however we did not succeed in raising a financial partner to support us. Our planned class on Entreneurialship was unsuccessful because although we received 20 registrations in Bangoua and 25 in Babouantou we did not receive any actual attendees of the class. This is an unavoidable problem as participants were often unreliable. We lack an acceptable number of computers (only 8 available for the whole 7 weeks) and we therefore had to limit the number of participants we could deliver IT sessions to. In addition we replaced our football tournament in favour of synchronising our plans with organisers of a local football tournament already taking place in Babouantou. We had to cancel plans to bring the project to a third village of Bandrefam because we did not have the necessary information and relevant contacts to organise the project in time for summer2012. However have taken steps to initiate contact with important people of Bandrefam so that we will be succesfull next year.

Weaknesses Strengths Critics and Suggestion
- Lack of finance (No financial partner), so in order to self finance the project we need a source of income.
- Insufficient resources and materials (No Beamers, Not enough Computers…) - Insufficient number of participants
- Talented Human Resources (The team is well trained on the field of various activities of the project)
- Strong project management skills, team motivation and performance tracking - Communication system and advertisement - Open internationally - Good partnership with the communities in Bangoua and Babouantou
The project this year didn’t reach the number of people we expected because of lack of communication between the team and the communities.
We would like to improve on our peer education programme and have a real follow up plan across the year.
The peer educators can also help the project team to promote the project in their various schools and involve participants from their schools and partners for the project in the communities such as their schools, their teachers.
Our main suggestion is to obtain a sponsor the project. This would allow the project to reach more villages as we would have the financial support.

In Bangoua In Babouantou
For both
Project Report Submitted on: 15th September 2012 By Clotaire Ntienou, WEBDEV Foundation Coordinator
OutComes of the project
- International Volunteers needed: to teach various subjects in 2 high schools (College
Evangelique and Lycee de Bangoua).
- Volunteers needed to work with the Protestant Church to help them design social housing
and fundraising to make the project possible.
- International Volunteers needed to administrate and teach various subjects in the two primary schools
of Catholic Church.
- International Volunteers needed to help them design and follow up the building of two classrooms in
each of their two primary schools.
- The schools struggle to keep good quality teachers because of the low salary offered. WEBDEV
foundation is working to see how to lunch an online fundraising campaign to support the salary of
local teachers in those two schools and to contribute education in Babouantou.
- During year 2012-2013, we plan to set up Clubs in at least one high school in each village. These clubs
will comprise of participants of the summer 2012 trainings. Their job role will include delivering
education for the whole school. To ensure this is possible we need organise at least three meeting
with leaders of the school before the project next summer.
- Summer 2013 have to be plan for two (2) months/village for more effectiveness in Bangoua and
Babouantou and in order to make this viable we will need more human resources available to us.
