The company's originalowners, George Willard Miller, GeorgeWillard Miller, Jr., and Henry Miller, Sr.,strived to respond to the rapidly expandingneeds of the agriculture industry. With theaid of its 16 employees, the corporationwas able to achieve its ambitious goals andearn a first year gross sales of $450,000.Today, almost 60 years after first enteringthe business world. Valley Truck andTractor has matured into a distinguishedagricultural, commercial, and consumerproducts business.

In i960, the company outgrew its originalMarysville location and moved itsheadquarters to its present day location inYuba City. Here, it maintained itsperformance as an International HarvesterDealership for another 25 years. In the

summer of 1985 Valley Truck and Tractorcontinued its advancement in the

agricultural products industry as itexchanged its red International sign for agreen and yellow logo and became a JohnDeere dealership. During that same time,the company opened another set of doorsto the public, as its second store beganbusiness in the small city of Robbins.

Today, Valley Truck and Tractor continues

to operate under the direction of membersof the original founding Miller family. Inaddition to its Yuba City and Robbinslocations, it now encompasses stores in theCalifornia cities of Woodland, Dixon, andElk Grove. It employs 103 men and womenwith annual gross sales of over $30million.
