They celebrate all kinds of sparkly handmade objects and the people who make them. Craftland, site of all things homespun and fabulous, offers a constant stream of hip, one-day project

AmericanStyle Magazine’s annual readers’ poll has named Providence a “Top Arts Destination” for the fifth year. The poll, which places the Creative Capital at 15th, recommends the city as a top destination “for collectors and travelers who love art galleries, museums and festivals.” Providence com-peted with cities in the mid-sized category with populations of 100,000 to 499,999. AmericanStyle readers cast their votes based upon the unique and interesting ways in which cities use the arts to fuel tourism.
