RF Power Sources
• Identified some £900k+ savings on equipment!
• CERN – 2 power amps (I expect CERN to
refurbish & test)
• LBNL – 2 power amps (need to be cleaned,
modified & tested)• This can be done at/by RAL – risk
of incurring disposal cost– 3 driver amplifiers (need to be cleaned
& tested)
• Los Alamos – 2 HV power supplies (loan – ~new)– 4 driver amplifiers (working – timescale
not known)
• Total RF cost is estimated @ 1.8M+ after savings
