Themasterscheduleistoaschoolwhatgradingpoliciesaretoteachersandclassrooms.Itrevealsthetruebeliefs,attitudes,valuesandprioritiesoftheschool.Theschool’smasterscheduleislikelookingatanMRIoftheinnerworkingsofaschool.Itisthewindowtothesouloftheschool.

JoinusinaworkshopsessionpresentedincollaborationwithPLIandtheCollege&CareerAcademySupportNetwork(CCASN)asweexaminebuildingamasterschedulefromalensofequityandsocialjustice.Theworkshopsarepresentedasacombinationoflectureandgroupinteraction.Weencourageschoolteamstoparticipate.Youmayattendoneorbothsessions.Session1willincludeanoverviewofthefivestagesofmasterscheduleconstruction.willfurtherunderstandingoftherelationshipbetweenthemasterscheduleandanequity-centeredschoolculture.ThissessionispresentedbymembersoftheCCASNstaff.MembersoftheCCASNstaffhavedeepandwide-rangingexperienceindevelopingmasterschedulesatalllevelsofinstruction.Theirexpertiseincludesbuildingthecapacityofschool-siteMasterScheduleTeamstocreatemasterschedulesreflectiveoftheschool’svisionforenablingeverystudenttosuccessfullycompleteachallengingprogramofstudy.Session2willhighlighttheuseofequityauditstoinformthebuildingofmasterschedules.Participantsareencouragedtobringthemasterscheduleoftheirschoolstoconducttheequityaudit.Wewillalsoprovidesampleschedulesforyouruseasneeded.ThissessionispresentedbyCherylDomenichelli.CherylDomenichelliisthePLICoordinatorofProgramsforVisitingSchoolLeadersandaPLIsupportproviderfornewK-12administrators.CherylwasthefoundingprincipalofKimballHighSchoolinTracyandwasnamed2012CaliforniaSecondaryPrincipaloftheYearbytheAssociationofCaliforniaSchoolAdministrators.Her23yearsofprofessionalexperiencesineducationincludetheclassroom,highschooladministrationanddistrictofficeadministration.Shebringsexperienceinbuildingmasterschedulesfromanequityandsocialjusticelens.Pleaseregisterinadvancehere.FreeforcurrentlyenrolledPLIandLSPstudents$99foralumni$150fornon-alumniSponsoredbythePrincipalLeadershipInstitute.
