EXPLORE

by Emily Robertshaw

BRIEF “You  have  been  commissioned  by  the  Northern  Echo  to  produce  a  new  magazine  or  newspaper  product.  Your  product  could  be  in  any  style  or  genre  but  it  must  be  self  =inanced  through  sales  or  advertising.  You  must  also  produce  your  magazine  for  a  speci=ied  audience  segment

within  the  16  to  25  age  group.”

HOW WILL I MEET THIS BRIEF ² I  have  created  a  magazine  which  is  aimed  at  the  16-‐25  age  bracket.

² The  genre  I  have  chosen  is  a  hybrid  of  travel,  experiences  and  entertainment,  but  is  mainly  centered  around  the  North  East.

² My  magazine  will  be  self  Kinanced  through  sales  and  advertising.

² My  magazine  appeals  to  Northern  Echo  readers.

WHY THIS GENRE? ² The  majority  of  young  people  like  travelling  and  discovering  new  places.

² No  other  magazines  are  centered  around  the  North  East  which  appeal  to  the  younger  generation.

² My  magazine  is  focused  on  affordable  travel  and  experiences.
