Matt Curtis, a represen-tative from Kentucky Engi-neering Group, told thecouncil that the sewer plantrepair was completed, andthat the sewer plant was op-erating at its full efficiencyagain.

the minutes of the Oct. 14meeting

• The council voted topay the bills

• Police chief BuzBaskett gave his monthlyrepor t, showing 36 traf ficstops, 3 motor vehicle acci-dents, one juvenile call, onedomestic, one theft and oneforgery.

• Baskett also told thecouncil that he had met withan accreditation inspector toget the department up tospec, which will help lowerhomeowners’ insurance.

• Fire chief Matt Huskgave his monthly report andsaid runs are staying rightaround average

• Mayor Rita Stephensannounced that the city’sChristmas parade will beDecember 6 at 1:00 p.m. andwill include the Ft. Knoxband. The city will be doingthe bike giveaways for chil-dren as well, through com-munity donations and withthe Farm Store selling thebikes at cost and assemblingthem for the city.

The Green River Dis-trict Health Department(GRDHD), accompaniedby officials from the Cen-ters for Disease Controland Prevention (CDC) andthe Kentucky Department

for Public Health (KDPH)will be in the followingcounties conducting ahealth survey to residentsNovember 21st and 22nd:Daviess, Hancock, Hender-son, McLean, Ohio,Webster, and Union.

“This is a great opportu-nity for our area and an im-portant chance for us togauge our community’sviews and opinions on whatis impor tant for theirhealth and quality of life.We are excited to get outand talk to the residentsand hope they are willingto give us just a few min-utes of their time to helpwith this important study,”said Deborah Fillman, Pub-lic Health Director.
