MEET OUR HOCKEY DIRECTOR MATT DALY• 17 years’ international hockey experience

• 10 years in England and GB national team

• Competed in 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games for Team GB

Matt is now a full-time sports teacher and hockey coach in London, supporting the development of junior and senior elite hockey players. He also still plays competitively in the English National League.

Residential 6- or 13-night camps for boys and girls aged 12-17 based at Ardingly College, a leading English private school. The unique coaching programme is designed and led by former British Olympic hockey player Matt Daly and other hockey internationals. Leading coaches will challenge players on and off the pitch. In addition to hockey training and games, players can also choose from English lessons or Advanced English lessons.

ENGLISHSuitable for all English language levels12.5 hours a week of classroom-based lessons

Based on the CLIL model of English learning used in top schools worldwide, our customised English curriculum is designed to accelerate learning with the help of a fully-immersive English environment. Professional and dedicated English teachers live on-site and classes are run using a combination of traditional classroom techniques, active participation and project work.

An entry test groups students by age and ability at the start of the week. With an average of 12 students per class, students get excellent individual feedback, including a written report and completion certificate to take home.

ADVANCED ENGLISH Suitable for C1 level English and above6 hours a week of classroom-based sessionsPlus group study time

A chance for players with some fluency in English to develop teamwork and project skills. Working to a specific brief, players will team up to research, construct and present a project on either sports or business. Using a combination of guided and independent study, this course equips players with the skills to succeed at university and in the working world.

Players will make an inspiring visit to the Olympic hockey centre, where they’ll train on the stadium pitch and explore the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Portsmouth Shopping and Historic Dockyard (every other week)

Players will enjoy an interactive tour of HMS Victory, the impressive flagship of Lord Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar, before heading to Gunwharf Quays, the south coast’s leading designer outlet shopping centre.

London & Niketown (13-night camps)

After a morning shopping experience at Niketown, players will enjoy a tour of landmarks including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square.
