COPPER POINT... MILESTONES

January 2002 Copper Point Golf Club and the Lake Windermere Lions Club tee off with a long term lease.

The golf club receives a name and an identity – Copper Point Golf Club is born. The name was chosen for the history of Copper mining in the area.

August 2002 The Golf Academy at Copper Point gets off to a rousing start with the Driving Range Opening Event.

Copper Point is getting into the swing of things. The course greens in and finishing touches are added to the course, including outbuildings and signs.

August 2003 An enthusiastic team is brought together and coached in delivering an exceptional product.

Copper Point Golf Club opens for play and hosts the 3-Shot Charity Challenge.$8,500 is raised for the community.

April 2004 Copper Point opens for its first full season and becomes the first in the Columbia Valley to offer full colour, full screen GPS on golf carts. Tee times fill quickly as word spreads about Invermere’s newest course.

May 2004 Clubhouse, Golf Shop and The View at Copper Point open.

July 2006 Construction begins on The Ridge at Copper Point.

April 2008 Construction is completed on the tunnel the under the highway connecting the two Copper Point Golf Courses.

May 2008 The Ridge at Copper Point opens, an 18 hole Master’s Style Course with full length par 3’s and par 4 holes.

June 2011 Copper Point Resort officially opens for business, located next to the first green at The Ridge

August 2012 A long-term relationship establishes the first Kelly Hrudey and Friends Charity Golf Classic.

The Golf Academy at Copper Point is a full-service teaching facility dedicated to delivering the results you need to get the most from every round you play.

With a team of experienced Canadian PGA of Canada Golf Professionals and the latest in instructional technology and innovation. The Academy at Copper Point offers you much more that “just a lesson” – it’s a golf improvement program set in a comfortable environment that’s tailored to increase your enjoyment of the game.

FAMILY GOLF PROGRAMS

Take a golf lesson with your child and watch their skills improve as their confidence grows. Just add $10 per child to our Single Private Lesson rate and let our PGA of Canada Golf Professionals introduce golf to your whole family.

NIKE JUNIOR GOLF CAMPSThe Nike camp is exclusive to Copper Point and offers juniors of all ages a mix of fun, learning and golf. The camp covers all aspects of golf and provides a great opportunity for juniors to develop their skills in a positive and encouraging environment.

Camps are limited to the first 20 juniors per day. We have two age groups, the Little Tigers (Level 1) for ages 5-9 and Tigers (Level 2) for ages 10-16.
